Wunderschöne, neue Unterkunft. Sehr hochwertig ausgestattet, stilvoll eingerichtet und eine tolle Terrasse. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und der Gastgeber ist einfach fantastisch! Wir durften die Küche und die Waschmaschine nutzen - besser kann es gar nicht sein!! Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt ☺️

It’s a gem of Madiha. A really cozy place , very close to the surf’s points, doctors house, shop, bus stop. It’s very quiet here, as the balcony faces the forest. Room is clean, full of light. The owner and his brother are very helpful. WiFi didn’t reach the upper floor well so the next day they brought the extender.

Es ist so, wie ein früherer Rezensent bereits geschrieben hat: Wenn sie nach Matara kommen wollen, zögern Sie nicht länger, hier zu buchen. Die vielen positiven Bewertungen treffen zu und ich kann dem auch kaum etwas Neues hinzufügen. Ich hatte ein erst im April 2025 fertig gestelltes großes Apartment mit eigener Waschmaschine, AC und Küche. Alles ist wunderbar eingerichtet und funktional; das Badezimmer ist riesig. Ich habe es sehr genossen, mit einem der 4 für Gäste kostenlos bereitgestellten Fahrräder die Umgebung zu erforschen und an der Küstenstraße entlang zu fahren, so dass mir auch außerhalb der Touristensaison nicht langweilig wurde. Ein großer Supermarkt ist in 250m Entfernung an der Hauptstraße (von der man im Haus nichts hört) und zahlreiche Cafés und Restaurants sind um die Ecke. Kian's Place eignet sich gerade auch für längere Aufenthalte, wenn man vor Ort im Home-Office arbeiten möchte, denn das Internet ist schnell.

Excellent location and the service provided by the host was exceptional. Very safe place and near to Miriasa whale watching spots, Weligama serfing spots , Galle Dutch Fort ect... The host Charitha was very professional, he also arranged us a taxi for site seeing and the price was lower than the market rate. I would definitely visit this place during my next visit to Sri Lanka and will recommend to my friends.

Everything was excellent

This was hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed—no question about it. From start to finish, everything was just perfect. The host was one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. He helped us with anything we needed—whether it was renting a scooter, giving us local recommendations, or just checking in to make sure we were okay. You could tell he really cared about making our stay special. Throughout our time there, they brought us fresh mango juice and homemade baked treats made by his wife, which was such a lovely surprise and made us feel incredibly looked after. His brother was also always around to help—he knows everyone in the area and made things so easy for us, whether we had a question or needed help arranging something. The room itself was beautiful—spacious, spotless, and super comfortable. It honestly felt like a little oasis. Out of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, this was by far the best. Everything about it—from the hospitality to the space itself—was just on another level. If you’re even considering booking this place, stop thinking and just do it. You won’t regret it. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience you’ll remember. Also there are some really good cheap places to eat close by to it :’)

Nothing everything was truly amazing

Kian’s place is a three-story home, and we stayed on the third floor for six days. Since the host works at the Weligama Marriott Hotel, the interior of the house was as good as a hotel. A newly installed air conditioner made our stay even more comfortable. The house is close to the beach, and Cargills Food City is just outside on the main road. The neighborhood is well-maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere, and the view from the third floor is truly outstanding. We stayed on the third floor, which has two rooms. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed and is shared among guests. There is a washing machine, too. Complimentary drinks were provided, so we felt safe drinking the water. The house also has four bicycles available for free use, which made it easy for us to go to the beach or run errands. You can take a bus to Matara city from the main road or go by tuk-tuk as well. We were especially thankful to the young couple who owns the house—they made us fresh fruit juice and were always welcoming with smiles. They were ready to help us anytime we needed. If we come to Matara again, we’ll definitely stay here again. Now, we are in Colombo. We already miss there and them, especially their lovely son, Kian.

Frankly no complaints.

An amazing stay! The place was truly great. The bathroom was large, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped — perfect for cooking meals. The location is ideal: just a five-minute walk from the beach, with plenty of lovely little restaurants nearby. Charitha and his family are kind, helpful, and welcoming. I’ll definitely come back here for my next stay!

I truly enjoyed my stay here! The place offered great value for money, with a clean and comfortable environment. The cleanness of the rooms and common areas was impressive. The facilities provided were more than sufficient, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The big washroom was a pleasant surprise, offering plenty of space and comfort. Above all, the hospitality of the host made the experience even better. I definitely recommend this place and would love to return.

The best place in Sri Lanka. The family who owns it is very generous and friendly. We had a great time staying here. The rooms are clean and beautiful. They had two bicycles that you could borrow all the time and made it easy to get to all the good restaurants and beaches nearby. 10/10 :) I hope to come back one day❤️
