Kangaroo House Bed & Breakfast

The house is lovely and historic. The grounds are lovely. And Jill and Charles went all out. They served breakfasts created with much attention to detail. Delicious food, lovely dishes, cloth napkins, lovely breakfast room and other guests to socialize with.

It would have been helpful to have a small welcome folder in the room that gives info on breakfast times, the fridge available for guests, internet password, etc. since the hosts were not there when we arrived.

Jill and Charles were excellent hosts. Their local knowledge and recommendations were highly valued. Breakfasts were amazing. Room comfortable. Couldn't have been more happy with our stay there.

John and I were warmly greeted by Jill and Charles. Our room was very inviting and our bed was so comfortable. The breakfast we were served was just delightful! We were able to easily get around the island from Kangaroo House. When we left for an early ferry back to the mainland Jill and Charles kindly packed us a nutritious to go bag since we would sadly miss our last breakfast there. I would gladly recommend Kangaroo House to my friends!

Kangaroo House is located about a mile from downtown East Sound. It’s a short walk from many great shops and restaurants and about a 20 minute drive from anywhere on the Island. Jill and Charles are fabulous hosts and their home is charming. They are very hospitable and their daily breakfasts are incredible. We stayed in the Goldfinch room and the bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Orcas island is a special place and this B&B made our trip even more magical.

We loved everything about the kangaroo house! Jill and Charles are so nice in every way, it was really a very very special experience!

Breakfast was sensational every day. The house itself is charmingly late 19th century. No kitsch!
