Countryside in the Town.

Adrian has clearly worked hard to create an exceptional unit of accommodation in the back garden of his house in a modest suburb of Shrewsbury and it is still a work in progress particularly with regard to the outside space. The living room has also been improved by replacing the settee in the photo with a very comfortable corner unit. The bed was large and supportive and the bedding smelt fresh. The kitchen area has a generous supply of items to help with self catering but would benefit from some extra utensils including kitchen scissors.

First impressions on arrival are sub-optimal due to a wrecked car on the front drive. We felt unable to shower as the shower head has not been descaled. And clean towels for new guests should not be left hanging right next to the toilet. There is no lock or bolt on the inner door to the entrance hall shared with the host. The air con is a floor-standing portable unit not set up for guests to use themselves, although Adrian said he would start it up if we needed it. The outside space is not currently as shown in the pictures. A hot tub is being installed front centre on the decking and the sail-shades had been taken down. The fence and trees shown in the official photos have been removed and this small area of grass (which is the hosts back garden) is now open at the rear and a bare soil bank falls very steeply down to the wooded site behind the house. Adrian has plans to terrace this area but until then it is not possible to let a dog off the lead.

Adrian is ace and the place was so relaxing. The decking is an amazing place to unwind.

Absolutely lovely little gem, everything you need , it was like a tardis , couldn’t fault any of it , the views were stunning and the decking out back made it perfect to sit out in the sun enjoying a beer , will definitely visiting very soon , the host was so friendly also

A.clean and well equipped place. It has everything you need with a great decking area with gorgeous views. Would definitely stay here again.

Adrian was a very welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. He recommended several places to visit, pubs and restaurants to eat and drink. The accommodation was spotless and very well equipped. The decked area was an added bonus to sit out and enjoy the sunshine.

Very hospitable host. Very helpful. Shame the weather turned wet but we had a great time exploring Shrewsbury. Comfortable bed and quiet location, lovely views. Dog friendly. 🐕

Can't think of anything, we were quite happy and so was our little dog.
