The Nook: Self Contained Annex

The Nook was a most enjoyable place to stay. It was a small space but very well thought out to cater for everything you might need. The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit and it was just a short walk away from local amenities. We found it great value for money and would happily recommend this for others.

We had no issues with the property

Check in/out instructions very clear and detailed. Decorated to a very high standard. All facilities very clean and fully functioning. Quiet location with a nice park opposite the property for taking the dogs out.

Although the property was very well finished and thought out for its size, you wouldn’t want to spend masses of time on there, slightly uncomfortable to eat at the table as a couple or sit on the sofa as a couple.

Property is small when bed is down really no room to walk around , but it wouldn’t put me off staying there again

Fantastically well designed so that everything you could want is there, cleverly & neatly fitted into this small space & still plenty of room for your clothes. The pull down bed was very comfortable & could be put away with pillows & duvet attached. The interior design was fresh, modern & quite classy, especially the bathroom which has black fittings including black shower doors giving a Japanese tea garden vibe. I stayed in & cooked for 3 evenings very happily.

To cram so much into such a small space has necessarily meant using all the wall space, so some storage & the microwave are quite high up. The result is that it may not be suitable for the vertically challenged. The main windows are skylights opened with a winder handle which work well for ventilation & light but there is no view out.

For a small space it has everything you need for a short stay, quiet and comfortable but with a really well equipped kitchen and bathroom. I stayed on the hottest weekend while doing a course locally and the fan and being able to open the skylights in the roof were a life saver overnight 🙏🏻 Everything within easy reach geographically it was a lovely stay and I highly recommend.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and modern with all the facilities I needed for my short stay, great communication with the owner leading up to and during my stay, close to all amenities.

Nothing to fault

Great stay, it clear all the creative ways they have found to make the best use of the small space. Air fryer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, hob, fridge, etc all perfect for cooking. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, lovely faith in nature soap. Parking was easy to find just over the road.

Lots of signs stating the toilet is prone to blockage, so something to be conscious of. Only suggestion was to maybe swap the bar stools with normal chairs. I had to use my laptop a few times and it was difficult to use the table hunched on the stools.
