Little Bassett Bed & Breakfast

This really is a gem. Everything was just perfect, and we were exceptionally well looked after.

Location was excellent. A lovely stroll to the beach. Spotless. Lovely shower. Yummy breakfast. Lovely host.

This place is awesome for checking out the west side of the Isle of Wight! It's super close to Cowell Bay and just a quick walk to catch the bus to the Needles, which only takes about 20 minutes. We went to the Long Beach Bar near Little Basset for dinner and caught an exceptional sunset! The room was spotless and had everything we could ask for. Plus, the host was really nice and gave us loads of cool suggestions for things to do and eat. Will definitely come back in our next visit!

A marvellous location both in terms of 2 minutes walk to Colwell Bay, and also really easy to get there by public transport. Tamara was a lovely host, the B&B was well run and very clean.The accommodation and breakfasts were wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to bringing my partner with me next time l visit the Island. Thank you Tamara!

We had a wonderful time at Little Bassett. Tamara is a wonderful host. Probably the best we found in any b&b we've been to. The place is in a nice location 2 minutes walk from the beach in a nice detached house with enough private parking space for all the guests. It is on a secondary road away from the traffic of the main road so it is nice and very quiet. It is a 10 minute drive to the Needles and 10 minute to Yarmouth where you will find pubs, bars and restaurants looking at the sea. The room where we stayed was big, spotlessly clean, with a big and comfortable bed and a big bathroom (not usual for b&b's). The breakfast is continental (a very good continental, like 4 star hotel good) and there are plenty of choices. Tamara went the extra mile to make us comfortable: we asked for a fridge for my insulin and she put us in a room with one. My wife is lactose intolerant and asked for soya milk and Tamara had that not only for breakfast but she put a bottle in the room as well. When she find out that was my birthday and she put a little bottle of sparkling wine in my room with pretzels and confetti saying happy birthday. The last day was our anniversary and she set the table for breakfast like a Michelin star restaurant with a tablecloth, napkins, confetti, porcelain plates, a bottle of prosecco and some chocolate pralines. I have never had this treatment anywhere. I felt like at home away from home. We will definitely go back at Little Bassett.

Little Bassett is absolutely immaculate and incredibly well maintained and you are provided with everything you need or it seems to be available on request. Tamara is very friendly and helpful but doesn't intrude on your stay. There was a good selection at breakfast time in terms of drink and food but don't expect a full English! It is also pleasant to be a very short walk from the sea as parking on the IoW can be expensive and hard to find.
