The Pacific Room, Tapeka Point

Very comfortable room with terrasse in quiet neighbourhood Kettle and fridge very handy Lovely hosts, Bridget is very welcoming and advised on nice walks to spot kiwis, even supplied red lights Beach 2 min walk and Russel village 3 min drive

Very helpful and obliging host - not always easy finding somewhere that will take a dog that is also clean and comfortable !

The room did have quite a musty smell but we assumed it had perhaps not been used much through the winter.

Location was fantastic ! Close to the township of Russell.

The bed (mattress) was terrible! Also the shower you could hardly move in it...to small Needs upgrading for the $$$$

Absolutely loved that we had chosen to stay in Russell for seven nights. The Pacific room was very spacious, we ended up with two rooms. The location is on a road that is easy to walk on to reach beaches at both ends. It was so quiet, and we enjoyed just being on our own, and not in the main streets of Russell. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very obliging and went the extra mile to ensure that everything was okay and provided extra baked goodies. The Pacific Room's facilities allow for simple self catering - as advertised there is a microwave, toaster, small fridge, cutlery and crockery. The hosts washed our dishes, as there was no kitchen sink, and they readily provided fresh towels ( we didn't have to ask!). We also appreciated that the hosts put the effort in to recycle anything that we separated from our rubbish as recyclable.

We expected more of a view of the ocean, but this didn't really didn't matter, because the location was stunning. I think many properties in the area with ocean views would not have been so close or been so easy to walk to the beach. Other properties may also be more expensive. Access to the accommodation was via a steep driveway, with parking on the verge/street.

Location was great and able to hear and see Kiwis was great

Comfortable and quiet.

Very clean & comfy flat. Nice and quiet neighbourhood. There is a huge sting ray living in the beach next to the flat. You might find it sleeping under the bathing Island. Bridget had put red light torches in the flat for her guess to find Kiwis. We tried- unfortunately not successful. Im sure the next visitors will have more luck. One more thing. Book the Tucker Thompson boot-tour, when staying in Russell. It’s awesome.
