Out in the stick babs was lovely, lovely place to stay

Barbara & Angus are lovely hosts. Exceptional. They had provided breakfast items including refreshments, fresh milk, eggs, butter, bread, yoghurt & more besides, Totally unexpected. The property is lovely. Warm, cosy and comfortable. Everything you need for a home from home stay. A separated part of their property with own entrance and garden. Great area for bike riding & walking (20 mins alton towers) but for us we have friends in the area so perfect location. Great pubs in the village too.

Unfortunately we stayed at a time of a huge storm which took down electricity pylons so we were without electricity but Barbara & Angus looked after us with candles, offers of extra blankets and hot drinks and checked we were ok, and kept us updated on the situation while we were out. Bit inconvenient but nothing that could be done. Whole village was out for 24 hrs. Didn't really affect our stay as we were out most of the time. We will definitely book again.

Thoughtful selection of breakfast items! Comfy beds Warm and cosy! Large roomy warm shower Seeing animals on the small holding! Frank the goose was fab! Would stay again!

Didn’t realise the road was so busy/noisy at peak times! But did quieten down overnight- not much the hosts can do about it tbh! They have put a mirror opposite the driveway to see as you pull out which is very helpful. Could be more private with a thicker adjoining door to owners property but think they are currently working on this.

Barbara the owner is wonderful host. Complementary milk butter fresh chicken eggs and bread but we did bring all of our own so not needed. Accommodation is very unique, converted rooms from main house. The beds are very comfortable. Chickens, goose and friendly dogs. Lovely and clean.

Wi-fi disappointing no Netflix as advertised.We have a teen autistic daughter and wi-fi for TV streaming is very important to her. The fire stick/wi-fi could not connect onto anything where the TV is in the fitting room and bedroom areas. Wi-fi only connected in kitchen area. Suggest a booster in TV area. Light in the morning from 4am coming through the roof of the double bed area woke us up. Daughter complained of light from cars going past property during the night, coming through high round window in bedroom waking her too.
