Cabana White Boutique Hotel

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Attention to detail from the staff was excellent. Bed was very comfortable, and the room was nicely presented.

There were no restaurant facilities on site. All meals were served at a sister hotel a short distance away.

Struttura curata nei dettagli di camere e zone comuni. In una posizione molto tranquilla, non è lontana dalla spiaggia e dall’albergo principale dove si trova la zona buffet. All’interno della struttura è comunque presente un piccolo buffet, nel caso non si voglia consumare pasti importanti. Staff meraviglioso, sempre molto disponibile e gentile!

Unica pecca da segnalare, le piante finte però può essere sia una scelta legata alle alte temperature della zona o semplicemente scelte aziendali.

Nice boho-style interior design

The hotel has potential and a nice boho-style décor, but unfortunately it is not fully utilized. I stayed at the hotel for one night because the hotel where I was supposed to spend my vacation did not have a free room for that date. I booked what was supposedly the best room with a jacuzzi, and at first glance it looked very pleasant. Unfortunately, the charm disappeared the next day with the sunlight shining into the room. The walls were dirty, the windows had last been cleaned at best at the beginning of the season. The jacuzzi I used at night clearly remembered previous guests. The tiles were cracked. The furniture upholstery was stained. But the worst part was the terrible smell coming from the bathroom. Breakfast at the sister hotel Cabana Blue has significantly dropped in quality (I’ve been to Cabana Blue twice, the last time two years ago, so I can compare). Most of the breakfast staff looked annoyed and unfriendly. Another downside – there are stairs leading up to the reception, with no ramp for luggage, and the staff showed no willingness to help, so I had to carry my suitcase by myself.

Il paese di Kardamena è veramente tranquillo ma con un bel centro in cui trascorrere le serate. La posizione dell'hotel consente di godersi tutto con relax e a pochi passi da ogni cosa. La distanza tra il Cabana White e il Cabana Blu (luogo dove sono presenti le piscine e i ristoranti inclusi nel All-Inclusive) è veramente di 3 minuti a piedi dunque per nulla impattante. Tutto lo staff è stato gentile e disponibilissimo, sia nella struttura che in spiaggia. I lettini inclusi nel prezzo nella spiaggia dedicata sono stati davvero comodi. La nostra camera era davvero bella, curata, sempre pulita e compresa di tutto, oltre ad essere davvero grande e ben insonorizzata. La cucina del ristorante è prettamente internazionale quindi si trova un po di tutto. Ottima la piscina, davvero bella.

Purtroppo devo segnalare che nelle camere e nelle zone circostanti c'è un odore leggero di acqua stagnate (probabilmente dalle fognature) che si percepisce ad ogni rientro in camera per poi abituarsi. Abbiamo provato a capire da dove arrivasse ma senza successo. Segnalo inoltre la mancanza di cibo tipico quotidiano degli orari dei pasti al di fuori dello yogurt. Ad esempio, un utilizzo maggiore della Pita al posto del pane tradizionale sarebbe stato più che gradito.

Room size for the price is unacceptable, as there was literally no space to move around or utilize table space. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom, under the TV and 25cm from an uncovered power socket. No balcony view, as advertised. Most facilities are in a different hotel, including restaurant, pool, spa, and bar. Only 1 small bar was on site, along with the very small pool that had access to other ground floor rooms' balconies. No animation, no scheduled events, no other activities. Only 1 evening live music event with 2 people singing and playing the guitar in Cabana Blu, which we found out by accident. Shower wasn't working, was fixed a day later. Coffee machine was available, but had no coffee. Of course no room service, as there is no restaurant on site. There is only 1 restaurant for 3 Cabana hotels, in which they split a few tables off to offer the ALC options. Out of 55 photos on Booking.com, around 20 are from Cabana Blu, so quite misleading of the Cabana White site facilities. Did I mention large cockroaches? We had one in the room, which decided to walk over our pillows. We caught it, and when we asked reception to remove it from the room, we were asked why we didn't kill it. 😅 Part of the staff turndown service was to spray pest killer in the room, which they so kindly left behind for us to find. Also we had to request to have our sheets replaced, cause apparently having a cockroach walk over them wasn't enough reason to change them. No clue how and why this hotel got a 5* rating, when it should be a 3*...
