Being by the animals was great, the dog was fascinated by them. The owner went out of their way to help ....didnt need to but nothing was too much trouble for her, exceptional hosting.

Shower is a bit small but not a huge hardship, would be nice with a log burner and tv in but again not a huge deal breaker....its a great place to get away from technology.

I was sent to the wrong property. I paid for the Birdie Rose but this was not the place I stayed. I stayed in a small shepherds hut.

The animals are amazing and the little shepherds hut was just the most wonderful touch

A spider!

We turned up after a 6 hour drive and were met with the most filthy place, as soon as you opened the door it smelt musty. The bedding smelt the same, the 'cottage' wasn't clean it was filthy. I sprayed my perfume to try to make it bearable for our stay. We booked this months ago and the pictures have since been changed when we left and are mostly of animal pictures. There were loose nails left outside near the hot tub, the wiring for the hot tub was held with duct tape. Cans of lucozade was available from their little hut to buy, out of date from August 2023. The key was stated to be left in a safe place so we didn't need any interference from the owners, after calling Booking.com it turns out the owner held on to them to make us feel safe, this did the complete opposite. We left, the owners immediately were defensive, aggressive and with no compassion. They fought against everything we said even when we have pictures from our short stay, claiming it was the cleaning they did they could smell not my perfume after we left. I never wanted 5* treatment like the owners argued with me about, we wanted the farmlife and the getaway as a family, the 'cottage' being filthy and being made to feel unsafe ruined our holiday and had to find an alternative place for us to stay which cost me a fortune on short notice.

Lovely property, the animals were definitely the highlight! It was also fab to have the option of the hot tub. There were a few small disappointments, without which the trip would have been a 10/10

Simplistic, rustic, peaceful and cosy! i would definitely recommend to a friend! Ower was very welcoming and helpful too!

How long it took for the hot tub to heat up, we should of just paid for it to be heated up but that's my owe fault really so I would recommend paying the extra money to have it heated up.

We arrived in the dark but knew it was in a farm sitting so in the daytime I’m sure that would’ve been amazing. Nice and quiet.

We didn’t have any instructions to find the property when we did finally find it by asking a neighbouring property where we should be going we arrived there’s no lights to help guide you past field and into the lodge. No light left on in the lodge to help guide your way either. We booked this lodge in particular because it seemed it came with a hot tub/Jacuzzi we arrived about 5:30 on a Sunday night and the hosts didn’t have any logs to buy even though it seems that way on the site drove 4 miles to petrol garage to get some came back lit the hot tub to then message the host to ask why the Jets weren’t coming on to say that they didn’t buy the jets because they were £1000. Upon waiting an hour and a half for the hot tub to warm up to realise that it didn’t actually have any jets or lights and the fact that the lodge itself is absolutely freezing cold even with the heater on which both made us feel very dizzy that we didn’t wanna stay there and we didn’t actually spend the night in the accommodation.
