Cityhome Downtown Suites & Spa

Amazing location, everywhere is within walking distance, and even if required (we were with my parents), the taxi journeys were very cheap, and the staff were great. Excellent large TV, nice couch, the bed was comfy, powerful rainfall shower, decent fridge/freezer, good kettle/toaster and coffee machine, oven/hob/microwave looked decent as did the bath, but didn't really use them, so can't really say. The stay for 3 nights was very cheap. Budapest as a city is INCREDIBLE!!! (The skyline photos were taken from the 360 Bar, which is a five min walk from the suites).

We had two apartments at opposite sides of the complex that required different lifts, so not ideal for a family celebration. Neither of the apartments looked anything like the photos that are advertised, in fact quite the opposite. Old, run down, with a weird smell. I didn't spend much time in the other apartment, but ours had MANY issues. Broken power points, useless Wifi a wine fridge that didn't work, disgusting carpet (red wine spills in the bedroom and by the entrance what looked like somebody had died and decomposed there!!), kitchen sink was grim, many of the lights weren't working, wires hanging out everywhere, the shower was covered in black mould/scum, shower door wouldn't shut properly, broken cup in bathroom, a big cut out in the wardrobe shelf (probably for a safe that was no longer there), the duvet provided hardly covered the bed and the "spare" was disgusting (covered in bodily fluids), also the room door was very difficult to lock/unlock. Another complaint is that the shower in my elderly relatives two bed apartment was over the bath, not really accessible, not great for 70+ year olds, plus there was only one key between three people, not ideal if somebody wanted an early night.
