"Peaceful, good service, just outside of the tourist hub"

10.0

The breakfast I got to eat at my own porch by the room, it was a very delicious banana pancake breakfast that I enjoyed every morning. I got to take as much coffee as I wanted, and it was good. It was a nice and peaceful place with very helpful hosts that made the stay near perfect. There were also some good and cheap warungs nearby. Oh, and you could rent scooters there.

One of the nights there was a nearby party that was super noisy when I wanted to sleep. This is not their fault and might be something that doesn't happen often. the neighborhood was very quiet in general, so this didn't make sense to me.

The private room was really good, good value for money and added to that the owner of the place was really friendly. We also had banana pancakes every morning which were delicious! Thank you, Sampai jumpa lagi!

"Yikes!"

1.0

Location was alright if you had a bike... otherwise it seemed kind of an awkward spot. Google told me to turn into a construction site first time around.

This place was gross, and I don't say that lightly. It really feels like these guys are doing the absolute bare minimum to keep renting the rooms out. Minor modifications that could be made to make guests more comfortable: - A FLUSHING TOILET! This guy legitimately took me to my room and told me to keep the water off on the toilet because it was leaking. I tried to turn the water on to flush the toilet, but it still wouldn't flush because all the water was leaking out the back 🫠 - SOAP! After trying to figure out the nasty toilet, I wanted to wash my hands. There was no soap in my room, so I went to ask for some, and the owner told me they don't have any soap. Yuck. - A BATHROOM DOOR HANDLE! There's just a large hole there. - MOSQUITO NETS! There were lots of mosquitos in my room, ventilation openings in the walls, but no net. In an area prone to mosquito born illnesses, this seems like an oversight. - Paint over the huge gaps of peeling paint. - Use the proper size of pipe so water doesn't leak all over your feet when you wash your hands. These are all very minor changes that would take a day to implement should the owner care to do so. I think they just get away with these standards because during high season, accommodations get booked up, and people have no other options. It was too late for me but it's not too late for you! Get yourself a working toilet and soap! You deserve it 😉

"Passable"

5.0

We stayed just for one night, so we barely interacted with anyone. However, the staff seemed friendly and they had free coffee. The matress was ok.

It was not very clean, it also was a bit old so maybe painting it again would help. Also, the toilet was pretty dirty.

"Perfect scape!"

10.0

Eltari is the best accommodation I could have imagined. Adin, the owner, is an exceptional host who genuinely cares about his guests. He pays great attention to detail and is always ready to help with anything you might need. The accommodation is simple yet incredibly clean—probably the cleanest place I’ve stayed in Indonesia so far. The location is fantastic, with some waterfalls within walking distance. While you may need additional transportation to explore the rest of Tetebatu, this seems common for the whole village. I spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The place is great, the people are friendly, and the surroundings are stunning. Whether you're strolling through a rice field or taking a dip in a nearby waterfall, you’re sure to have a wonderful time.
