"A great place to escape from life."

10.0

Gorgeous location for a break away from modern life, the grounds are truly breath taking and are literally buzzing with wildlife, it really made me feel calmer returning home after two days. Hut was perfect, had everything you could want, including DVDs for the evening and a log burner. Although the hut was warm enough during the heatwave. Benefits from a fridge to bring the essentials... Even had things like matches, cafetieres, radio. Swimming pool was lovely and warm and I had the luxury of having it to myself.

Not that I didn't like it but phone signal could be an issue inside the hut, you had to leave to get signal but I thoroughly enjoyed this element, meaning I could switch off. Its more an FYI than a 'didn't like'.

Unbelievable weekend away! John made the stay extremely comfortable and is there to help with whatever you may need! However his folder of information tells you everything when you arrive!

Kitchen small, would like larger kitchen with stove. Facilities provided were excellent otherwise.

"Dragon hut / Ddraig Cwt"

10.0

Brilliantly quirky. We'll not give you too much detail so as not to spoil it for you. However, the owners' humour & attention to detail lends itself to an adventurous & inquisitive visit. Additional walking trails & beautiful sunset viewing points only add to this experience. We stayed in the Dragons Hut. A beautifully appointed shepherd's hut. Having now stayed in quite a few of these, this visit rates right up there at the top of them. The site is far enough out of the way to get that relaxing countryside feeling, yet close enough to local towns for convenience. Several tourist spots are near by being only a short drive away. Rest in Wales yet overlook England just across the small valley sat right in the historic Marches between both countries. Our thanks to the host John, for a fabulous treat.
