Comfortable, well equipped, warm and a great location for the village and walks up the valley into Dalby forest. Great communication from the owner and a very warm welcome/treats provided. The Japanese tub actually made for a very enjoyable soak after long walks and the well stocked wood burner is great (as is the heating). No issues with unloading the car and parking and the large nearby village car park with the pass provided.

Close to the village shops and pubs and exceptionally close to Mathewsons (Bangers and Cash). Lovely, Clean, lots of extras, shampoo, shower gels all Faith in nature. Well stocked real fire with instructions. Comfortable bed. Close proximity to e chargers at car park was a huge bonus!

The shower was a nightmare to get in and out of and should be explained before booking as I couldn’t use it as I have a bad back and left leg I’ve never seen anything like it

The place is an imaginative and tasteful adaptation of the ground floor of a period cottage in a quiet off-street location. Everything one could possibly need was there. Good Nisa store, excellent fish and chips and Pizza all within 100 yards. Electric shower was great and easy to use. Host was very helpful and responded quickly to queries.

Parking could be a bit of a bun fight - although I always managed to park within 50 meters. However if one is unlucky public parking is 100 meters away, Entering the shower 'tub' might be challenging to some, but it was find for me (I'm 74).

Really great location in Thornton so that I could easily go and see my parents. Hideaway is small but well equipped and a nice cosy place to stay.

A lovely, clean and cosy property ideal for what I needed. I was working in Pickering and Grosmont for a weekend, so the location of the hideaway was a perfect distance for both. Roughly five minute drive to Pickering and 25 minutes to Grosmont. The hideaway has everything you need, and Sue the host was great with her communication. A lovely touch was the bottle of wine and ginger biscuits that Sue left which was very much appreciated. I love log burners but no need to light it during my stay as the hideaway had nice central heating which warmed the place perfectly! All in all, a great stay.

Nice, clean accommodation. Ideal for a couple. Great location in centre of village.
