I stayed here for a few days. The apartment is centrally located in Thornton-le-Dale but was rather quiet. A short stroll to the local shops and the pub. Great area for cycling.

Sue was a fantastic host. She dealt with our small issues in a kind, professional and fair way. She wants everything to go smoothly and does her best to ensure it does. Lovely village and excellent location.

It was all great after Sue sorted things out

"Amazing, convenient, immaculate, comfortable and great touches!"

10.0

Everything - immaturely clean, very comfortable great location! The host was very welcoming and ensured we settled in well and gave us great advice for eateries and walking in the area. We couldn't have picked a better location. Everything was well catered for - our two little dogs especially and the parking was great. The bed was the most comfortable conversion of a sofa we've ever experienced - we slept very well indeed! The wine and biscuits were especially nice touches. We will definitely be back!

Nothing to dislike whatsoever - a credit to the host!

"Perfect!"

10.0

Cosy and quiet but literally just off the high street. Pubs, chippy, tearooms, shop and good dog walks literally on the doorstep. It was 25 degrees while I was there but very cool and comfortable inside the studio. Lovely bathroom, well equipped kitchen and very clean. There is tea and coffee for guests to use in the kitchen and the owner left me some lovely biscuits and milk and beer in the fridge, which was very much appreciated.

Nothing, it was perfect for me.

Hideaway is exactly that, a perfect little hideaway in a lovely little village. The location is great and central for getting around most of Yorkshire. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Yorkshire, and I'd happily stay again myself if ever planning on coming up this way. Sue, the host was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed and any queries were dealt with straight away.

"I found the facilities just as I needed as I had no intention of cooking :) Had a great time"

8.0

The location was right where I wanted as it was near the moors, close enough to Helmsley and a reasonable distance from other sites of interest.

I picked the property for the location and the size was not important as I was out most of the time. The only downside was the shower as the base has tall sides and you have to use the steps. Although not an issue for me, someone with mobility problems would not find this easy.

Location was perfect. centre of village near amenities, restaurants and pubs. Also next door to Mathewsons of Bangers and Cash fame.

Heating only came on at 7.30 in the evening and stayed on until late. Uncomfortable for us and expensive for the host. Some heating in the morning whilst showering would have been nice. Some information about the use of the TV would be useful. Shower/bath tub potentially dangerous for older people (I'm 78)
