The Snug, Minehead

Well positioned accomadation, within a leisurely stroll from town! The snug is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything for a short break away, including a fully fitted kitchen, comfortable bed, free parking and air con! Was a lovely gesture, by the owners, to leave an Easter egg, which went down a real treat. 😋 Good night's sleep, with not a sound from Butlins to be heard.. Highly recommend and will certainly return, thank you x

Appreciate you can't cater for everything and everyone's needs, however would of been nice to of had the option of a microwave and an iron/ironing board! Those less nimble may find the step up to the bedroom high, although there is a grab handle to support.

We arrived Friday evening for a weekend away, and when we arrived we checked ourselves meaning we could arrive later without disturbing anyone. Amy was so helpful with directing us to The Snug and provided us with places of interest to visit prior to arrival, such as Dunster Castle, which we did visit! The Snug itself is adorable, comfortable and so stylish. Everything is well placed and there are appliances (inbuilt oven and portable hob) available which saved us the hassle in the evening of finding somewhere to eat! Everything is so accessible from The Snug, 5 mins away from the seafront which made a lovely evening walk for us both, where we were able to visit the SW coastal path marker and these little statues of people. There are also a range of supermarkets close by if you decide to self-cater like we did. We would definitely return here after the experience we have had here across the weekend! It was one to remember, thank you Amy and Danny! 😊

It has everything we needed and was beautifully done. Very nicely fitted out, very clean and lots of nice things like pictures and ornaments to give it a homely feel. Amy and Danny were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. There were some lovely chocolates as a treat along with tea coffee and milk for our arrival. The place is beautifully done and though small it really has everything you need. Location is great, very near the beach, and it is dog friendly. There’s a nice little bench for sitting outside in the sunshine. For us it was ideal, they couldn’t have made it nicer!

Lock box code was provided straight away and that meant we could arrive anytime after 3pm. Welcome gift provided as well as fresh milk. Washing up equipment provided as well as oil, salt and pepper. Hanging frame and shopping bag were great little additions. Felt very homely and comfortable with privacy. Owners provided food recommendations and they were great! Storage was very clever and we found some drawers we hadn’t realised were there at first. Smart TV available for streaming. We hadn’t spotted the recycling areas of the bin at first but was pleased when we found them. Eating table pull out was great and the stable door option was lovely. Shower was very luxurious with the overhead shower head. Great location and not the noise we were expecting from Butlins! Short walk to the beach.

That we had to leave! There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Firstly the hosts were super helpful, I made a couple of requests and they were only too happy to help. Secondly I was working the weekend at Butlins and this place was IDEAL. Far enough away to be quiet on an evening but close enough to make not getting their a ball ache. Also perfect for morning walks along the front. The facilities were spot on, everything i required for my time in Minehead.

What a lovely little find! I was looking for a quiet, chilled weekend for my Husband's Birthday, and this was the perfect setting. I had asked Amy if they were able to put up some Birthday banners for me, and that wasn't a problem, she even asked if I needed a cake. Communication was really quick also. The accommodation certainly lived up to it's name, so cosy and the decor was lovely. I loved the bathroom, shower was hot and powerful, bed comfy and the added bonus was the sofa bed which we pulled out to watch TV. Minehead town is about a 20 minute walk away with shops, pubs and takeaways, and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. If you are looking for the most peaceful, cosy stay, then this is definitely a must.
