Historic river side cottage - top apartment

This is a lovely property in a lovely location. The flat is bright and spacious and very clean. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were welcomed with a card and some supplies on arrival - a nice touch. Our dog was very happy here too and settled right in. The sweeping views of the river and the downs here are beautiful, especially in the early morning. We really appreciated being able to park on site and enjoyed the outdoor garden space. Friendly neighbours too! It's a short walk along the verge to the village which is very pretty and has a beautiful old church. Communication with our host before, during and after our visit has been excellent. Highly recommended - would love to stay again.

The road is quite busy, which we knew - we still slept very well. There is no pavement outside, but it's possible, with care, to walk a few minutes to the village along the grass verge.

The location was just breathtaking. The flow of the rover and views were amazing

The property was beautiful and the flat was clean and comfortable! Jamie was a great host and the property is also really close to Seaford and Brighton so was an easy commute for me, my partner and our friends to get into Brighton for our marathon!

The shower wasn’t free standing and had to be held also had no shower curtain or water proof walls

Location with outstanding views of the river, perfect for dog walking and a 45 minute walk into Newhaven. Sympathetically decorated in keeping with period giving it a cozy cottage feel. Friendly neighbours.

No pavement to the village and bus stops but only for about 50 yards so manageable but bring boots

- Situated too close to main road and main gate is located near the bend of the road which can be difficult to exit

The views of the river and South Downs were the reason we booked , we were not disappointed. the space the flat offered and the garden were great, easy parking, easy access to Brighton etc.

We knew the property would not have a shower but were prepared to forego that for its location, however it does need a shower putting in quite badly , the road noise was more than expected
