Romany Cottage B&B

We received a very warm welcome from our hostess Lynne. We were offered freshly, homemade Victoria sponge cake & a cup of tea, on our arrival. Our double room with the super king size bed was extremely comfortable it had modern furniture and soft furnishings along with a Smart TV + Freeview. The en suite was spotless and spacious. The room overlooked the village green, a local farm and cottages but beyond that were just rolling hills as far as you could see. Our full English breakfast was delicious, both mornings and included a good selection of cereals, toast and all the condiments you could think of. Our cockerpoo, Hector enjoyed breakfast too with a complimentary 'licky mat' to eat with the gorgeous resident, Clumberpoo- called Clara. She is the most friendly and gentle dog to have around. Lynne always seemed to be thinking of us, she was so thoughtful in making our stay feel more comfortable. After our 3 hour walk around Buckden Pike and a meal at the local pub, The Buck Inn, we came back to the log burning fire, soft lamps and candlelight in the residents lounge which was beautiful with large comfy sofas so we were very happy to watch some TV before going up to bed. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Romany Cottage to enjoy the homely delights in a beautiful setting whether you are walkers, cyclists or not, you would definitely have a wonderful experience. We had a fantastic stay and a wonderful welcome from Lyn and Clara. They are fantastic hosts and the cottage is so beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day ahead.

We really loved it, nice and cosy, dog friendly, big bed, right in the village, delicious cooked breakfast in the morning, our host was so nice and helpful - oh and she even had a walking boot drying machine, not forgetting Clara! x

Very clean, warm and comfortable. Huge bed. Good breakfast.

Access through back garden was a bit strange but with the cottages built so close together, understandable.

Lynne was a really lovely host, very welcoming cottage. The room was perfect, very clean and comfy bed! Everything was top standard, loved our stay here!

Wonderful welcome after a long days walking, Lynne put our boots straight by the fire to dry, above and beyond! Spotlessly clean, amazingly comfortable bed absolutely nothing missing. Wonderful stay.
