The Beach House -South Shields

Centrally located for all amenities and a very warm check-in, with questions only a text or a call away. Very stress-free.

Good location, lovely and attentive host. Lots of space. Very clean , both in terms of the facilities and especially bedding, towels etc

Bed side lights were insufficient, only one in one bedroom, the rest had none. Plug sockets in bedrooms not always close to bedside tables, so extension cables would be a good addition. A book explaining how WiFi, heating etc worked would be a recommendation. But, overall ok. Sofas were a triumph of style over function, but with a few twists and adjustments were comfortable for a short stay. Finish overall was good, but to a budget, not high end, but perfectly adequate. No Freeview that worked, but WiFi TV worked perfectly. Host very responsive, friendly, helpful. A bulb went during our stay and replaced almost immediately.

Mark was waiting for us when we arrived, he let us in the property, have us a tour and showed us how everything worked, reiterate that if we needed anything to please contact him. He even checked in with us later to make sure we didn't have any questions. Really considerate and thoughtful. The location was great, right across from a park just a couple blocks from the beach. The living room was a great place to watch a movie, visit with a guest that came over and had a table to catch up on work, it was great! The kitchen was a nice size too and the bed really comfortable! Close to restaurants, quiet and comfortable. Thanks Mark for everything, we really enjoyed our stay! ;)

We loved how it was 3 lovely Bedrooms on top floor with a shower/toilet, lower floor was lovely big kitchen with everything needed and use of washing machine, sitting room was big with loads room, games for kids to play, good choice books to read for Adults and TV working with you tube etc

We loved the property but could have done with a small mirror in smaller room and a small lamp in each of the rooms I mentioned this to Mark the owner and he said he had the lamps with him, nothing was too much trouble for him and asked before we arrived could he get us anything which we didn’t expect him to ask us that, was lovely of him.
