The Beach House -South Shields

We booked the Beach House South Shields as our first break away for 2 years due to various health issues and circumstances. Mark greeted us he was kind, knowledgeable and caring he showed us round the apartment and explained how to use things. We had an issue with the WiFi which we contacted him about and it was resolved quickly. Mark is an asset to your business lovely man. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and very clean. It's no pets and no smoking which is brilliant due to allergies and asthma. The apartment is top two floors so we had a lovely view of the park and the roof tops town of south shields. Highly recommend this apartment particularly for it's location easy walk to the sea front, to the park, to the town centre and to the Roman fort. You could even walk to get the ferry over the Tyne to North Shields or the bus to Newcastle city centre or quayside. Lovely spacious flat looking out onto the trees in the Marine Park. The many restaurants of OceanRoad are 3 minutes round the corner and the shops and metro station 13 minutes walk away, beach is 8 minutes across the park. We found the flat very comfortable, also there is 2 showers and toilets which is quite unusual in a holiday let. Plenty of seating. Cooker and washing machine easy to use and in good working order, shower also. Mark is easy to contact by phone if you need to ask him anything. Overall we njoyed our stay very much.

There are quite a lot of stairs in this flat, fine if you are able-bodied but important to know if you are not. Free onstreet parking is available up rhe road or round the corner. Parking directly outside is residents only but spaces are available most of the time for unloading, directly over the road is free between 5pm and 8am and then is £1.20 for 2 hours. We found parking easy enough.

The accommodation was perfectly situated and the apartment had everything we needed for our stay. It was very spacious and although it was on a split level it was great that a bathroom was upstairs as well as downstairs. It was very comfortable and homely. It was also clean. The host was very helpful over the phone when I contacted them and also on our arrival he showed us around the property so we knew where everything was.

It advertised that there was street parking at the property. When we got there it was away from the property on other streets. The host did say this had only happened two weeks ago as the council had changed it. This cannot be helped but this needs changing in the advert for the future. We like to be able to see our cars for safety.

Large spacious property within short distance of all amenities. Mark the host was very responsive & helpful.

A little too many stairs to the property carrying bags etc.

The apartment was located near all the attractions, was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The Hosts were very approachable and helpful.
