Sweeney Aviemore Two

A lovely, comfortable room in a great location. All amenities, restaurants, bars easily accessed on foot. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Starting off, I’m unsure if this is an issue with the hotel or booking.com but there is definitely a discrepancy between the rooms shown and described when booking, to what you are actually assigned. We booked a double room which was advertised as a larger room in m2 on booking.com at a higher price compared to others but when it came to check in we had been assigned the king room which again on booking.com is cheaper than the room we had originally booked. I did raise these concerns using the provided web chat function. However the response I got wasn’t helpful to begin and then the reply’s promptly stopped when I pointed out the price differences which I thought was suspicious. The bed In the room is just 2 mattresses pushed together not a king or a double as advertised which is very misleading. In honesty if I’d known this was the case I’d have booked somewhere else. The extractor fan in the bathroom is unbelievably loud, a concern I was going to raise to customer service but after being ghosted already I figured why try… the room was clean and well presented all things considered and the restaurant downstairs is definitely worth the visit. It’s Just a shame the lack of customer service and transparency of rooms lets it down.

Location was good.

Property didn’t appear like the room we had booked, it was quite small. Price was high for dated bathroom and lack of any staff and breakfast (more like Airbnb experience without key code check in without a kitchen)

Great location in Aviemore, clean, warm and comfortable ! Self check in was a good idea and would definitely stay again !

Code deactivating whilst trying to check out of room and pack the car up. 15 mins grace period should be given !

They send you a code so you can enter the main entrance and your room. The room was lovely, clean and cosy. It also had a fridge which came in handy, the area is beautiful and the people lovely. Breakfast was nice in the adjoining restaurant.

I thought we had booked the apartment yet it turned out it was one of the rooms which had been rather unclear on the website.

Accidentally left some jewellery in the room was found an kept safe by staff
