Sweeney Aviemore Two

The room was beautiful.

The shower and bath needs updating. The shower is hard to set and the temperature fluctuates while showering. The shower head is difficult to stay in position.

Did not have breakfast.

Room tired, uncomfy bed & very hard, shower too small, biscuits were stale & awful.....

Room too basic, no phone or iron, could hear the next room talking and going to the toilet walls were so thin. So expensive and breakfast wasn’t included. Shower was so tiny if anyone large is to stay they wouldn’t fit in it.

I caution all people who are considering booking the Sweeney two. The majority of these reviews are for the prior hotel, The Park Aviemore, which was run by a lovely couple. The Sweeney two is a self service hotel with no staff on site. I was notified of the change in ownership four days prior to my arrival and was not offered an opportunity to change my reservation. Upon arriving, our hotel smelled of either mold or cigarettes. I will say that the onsite manager did arrive promptly once we called with our concern regarding the smell, however was told that she didn’t smell anything. We were offered an alternative room which smelled heavily of perfume (likely masking an underlying odor) that caused my partner to break out in hives. We made the decision that we needed to find alternative accommodations which was a scramble as everything in Aviemore was nearly booked. The Sweeney Two is certainly not the original hotel that I booked and would have never booked it if I knew it was self service. The Sweeney two has ignored requests from booking.com to provide a full refund and apparently booking.com is unable to offer a refund. Overall very disappointed in this experience.
