The Royal Oak Inn, Rhandirmwyn

Comfy bed, great breakfast options and friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for more for my 2 day stay to explore the local area.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and they were happy to do breakfast for us early which was really helpful.

Brrakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked and enjoyable. TWO poached eggs too!

Shower facility in shared modern bathroom was very clean and useable, but could be better than just rubber pipes attached to taps in bath. They are new pipes, nothing wrong with them, just guess I prefer a proper shower unit. I believe it's on the list to do by the new owners.

Very good value. A beautiful spot, tranquil and friendly. Good food morning and evening. A ( shared, as stated) bath, not just a shower,, which is good for tired limbs! Small single room, as advertised , but everything I needed, cheaply. They let my bicycle come inside too.

OK, this is not a 5 * hotel, but as a family pub, nothing to complain about!

Lovely warm welcome from the owner, Amanda upon arrival and she was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The Inn is set in a lovely quiet location and within easy reach of fabulous countryside and wonderful country drives.

We were supplied with a key so that we could access the property after hours. We returned from a party at midnight to find that the key did not work (because it was bent). There were no lights on or signs of life so we were fearful of being locked out for the night in a very rural location and no where to sleep. Thankfully their son arrived shortly after from a night out and was able to let us in, but had he not arrived I am not sure what we would have done given there is no mobile phone signal in the area.

A lovely stay in a cosy pub with a beautiful setting. Lovely personable team who tended to my every need and even brought my breakfast to the room. Wonderful experience through and through. Recommend.
