"Friendly, privately-owned rural inn in a tranquil setting."

Excellent breakfast and delightful, peaceful location. After difficulties with the previous tenant, the owners have done much in the last year to rebrand this old inn.

I would have preferred a shower to a bath.

Eleven out of ten for hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble for Amanda and her family. The surrounding Towy valley is beautiful and the food was great as well. I highly recommend the Royal Oak.

"Superb"

I stayed for 2 nights in a single bed room with shared bathroom. Everything was really clean and tidy. The bathroom doesn't have a shower but after a day out hiking it was nice to have a hot bath. There is little to nil for phone signal as this is a rather remote area but it's a very beautiful part of Wales.The new owners, Amanda and her family, are lovely and it shows that they have taken care to the place and their customers. I would stay again.

"A lovely rest with genuine hospitality"

We received a very warm and friendly welcome and Amanda went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and the heated blankets were an extra bonus after a long drive. The breakfast was top notch and we were so lucky to be offered a breakfast to go one morning when we were up early.
