U Suites on Egmont

The location was great. Very central

On arrival our room had a very strong cooking smell and as there was no air conditioning or window that was able to be opened the smell remained for the duration There was only 2 towels that were very thin provided for our entire 4 night stay there was no oscillating fan or air movement in the room at all. There also was no toilet roll holder which was bizarre.

Customer Service was the worst Car parking is terrible and the garage door was broken for two days I was there And parking refund is still hasn't commenced after a week Worst customer service Avois

Very prompt reply from staff and clear instruction on how to get the key, spacious and central apartment, industrial style

No day light, quite a few hairs in the shower and on the bed, no very well noise-isolated : you can hear chairs and people walking on the stairs to go to the upper lever. The street passing by is not busy fortunately but you hear everything. Furniture are outdated

Found this place after all the usual hotels were either full or very expensive. Located up an alley near Cuba mall. The outside does not present very well, as well as being an earthquake prone building. The door is straight off the street,so not a great start. Once inside the apartment is spacious and comfortable. It's quiet as well. Would be a good place to stay for a longer period in the city.

U suites is in a great location - close to the CBD, Te Papa and the waterfront. Really walkable, but because it’s down off the main street it’s quiet too. Really well equipped - dining table, fridge, washing machine AND dryer, hair dryer, extra blankets and pillows. The only down side is that there is no windows to the outside so no fresh air and on a hot day not being able to open a window felt like a down side, but it’s really the only one I’ve found. For this reason I would recommend for families with more people than two, but perfect for solo travellers or couples.
