Arthurs Cottage -Charming Courtyard Cottage in the heart of Kendal, The Lake District

The directions were very clear and made it a smooth experience to get to the cottage. There was plenty of parking close to the cottage, and it was super close to the highstreet, which had lots of nice bars. The host was very informative. Would stay again!

The room next to the bathroom is quite noisy. Couldn't sleep very well. But that's my problem. I am a light sleeper

The flat was spacious, clean, well equipped and with a relaxed style of decoration. Good sofas, tv, table and chairs. Good wifi connection. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and all you need, a fridge and a small freezer compartment in the fridge. Shower was good pressure and bathroom a good size. Two nice bedrooms, good size beds and nice bedding and towels. The gas central heating was effective and kept us warm even in chilly January. The location was very convenient for shops, restaurants, cafes and easy walk to the Tapestry museum and a concert at the Brewery Arts centre. Easy to drive in and out of town. Was perfect for a short break to see a concert and an quick easy drive over to Lake Windermere for a walk in the day.

The stairs up to the apartment are wooden and a little slick in the wet. There is traffic noise in the day but it was quieter at night when it mattered. The parking is in a car park adjacent to the apartment. It's a pay and display car park, spaces are on the narrow side but we managed okay. It is a public car park so no guarantee to get a space, but there was always one available when we needed it and at night there's plenty of space and good lighting.

Great central venue with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free parking was a big plus.
