Liked pool and hot tub. Nice and relaxing good outside area

There was nothing I didn’t like

I have been coming here for some time now. It's a great base for visiting friends as I used to live in the area. The pool is fantastic and I use it for hydrotherapy. There is everything you need in the kitchen and if you forget your phone charger, that's covered to. There is also a lovely welcome basket. The living room had a spectacular view of the Cairngorms. There is a smart tv with streaming services and lots of books and games. Play polytunnel for the kids which has access to a fenced off area of the garden for safety. Then there is the wildlife. Red Squirrels, every kind of woodland bird and Woodpeckers. Food for them is provided. You can also see Eagles and the Osprey soaring over the valley. Ample parking for 2 cars. The Cairn Distillery is just a mile down the road with Grantown on Spey a bit further on. In the opposite direction is the Speyside Centre where you can shop or eat in the cafe. You can drive there or there is a lovely walk through the woods from the cottage. Nethybridge, Boat of Garten and Carrbridge are all within 5 miles with Aviemore being 10 miles away. The cottage has leaflets detailing activities in the area. I will be returning later in the year and I'm already looking at dates for next year.

I spend a lot of time in the pool for hydrotherapy and although the water in the pool is heated the pool hall isn't and it can get a bit cold. An air conditioning/heating unit would help heat the space and alleviate condensation.

Very homely

We couldn't fault this lovely cottage. There was everything we could possible need for our stay. The location was great, lots of things to do and explore locally. The snow was an added bonus for us, not something we get to see often. It was great having spent the morning playing in the snow and being able to come back and have a swim and relax in the hot tub and pool. We will definitely be back. Sitting in the lounge every day and taking in the gorgeous view is something I will miss doing and also watching the red squirrels come down for their morning nuts.

Honestly we couldn't fault the property at all.

It is so beautiful and well laid out with everything you need to be totally self catered. Large viewing window in kitchen to watch the wildlife. We had red squirrels, pigeons, baby finches and lots more. The pool house is amazing. The swim tub is hard work but was great fun. I really did not want to leave

It is in a beautiful location and the house was lovely.

Amazing cottage in the woods, extremely peaceful break.The cottage was clean with everything you could need supplied and a couple of messages from the hosts just to make sure things were okay. It was lovely.
