Casa Castelo, Unique Flat w pool in Taviras Historical Centre

The location is amazing! The views from the top two floors are great! Central to Tavira Town, parking close by. Well appointed, great kitchen set up and equipment. 2 bathrooms, one en suite, the other on first floor. The beds are so comfortable, the best we have slept in. The rooms are quiet and we all slept really well. Outside seating area is great, super comfy and the awning to cover the pool/stair area is so useful. Both showers worked really well, plentiful and hot enough. We all loved it!

The steps are steep to the apartment and the hand rails are a little low for taller people. One step kept biting us as it was a little shallower than the rest. . Pool isn't heated so not usable in cooler months( more for info). Inner door lock a little temperamental, once we remembered it's just the tip we were fine.

We loved the clever use of space across several floors, but our special place was the top terrace with panoramic views over the city

nice, well equiped good size kitchen including dish washer and washing machine!, good location, easy contact with host, parking on the street around the corner, nice bathrooms and quite comfy bed. nice outdoor spaces!

lay-out is a bit inconvenient. there are 2 smallish bedrooms, 2 small sitting rooms, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. they are divided by outside spaces, so use of internal (patio) stairs from kitchen to bedrooms is needed. the first floor kitchen is together with a very small sitting room and a bathroom. you go upstairs for the bedrooms. these are also divided in two separate areas, you have to cross the patio (nice and sunny!) to get from one bedroom to the other. there is only one bedroom with an ensuite, so not very practical if you are using both bedrooms to sleep. you’d have to go downstairs to use the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen, or enter the small hallway next to the other bedroom and use the loo there. doable but a bit unpractical. in Dutch we would say: kruip-door-sluip-door.
