Modern Studio in Newport City Centre Free Parking & WiFi Sleeps 2

Cosiness. Full kitchen. Clean bathroom. Cleanliness in flat overall. Parking right outside. Responsiveness of host. It's a little hidden gem, perfect for a solo traveller. It's one room, so may not necessarily be as comfortable for more people. Very popular place this is but will be staying again if I get a chance! Thanks can't recommend enough

Just some kitchen towels, cloth and a sponge but that's so minor and host brought some over upon asking.

The property is well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great and near the city centre.

I love how neatly arranged the place was. The host made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. And of course, it was close to the Newport bus centre, this made for easy commuting.

Heating in this converted detached garage in the garden of the property was subject to a heating schedule from the main house that was not controllable in the unit. Although it was set throughout to the maximum temperature on the electronic thermostatic radiator valve, the radiator's temperature never exceeded lukewarm, which was inadequate to heat the room during a cold night possibly due to the distance from the furnace in the main house. When we returned from an event in the late evening, the room was still bitterly cold. It was so cold that we had to sleep fully clothed under duvets and an additional blanket provided by the owners, even then, it was not enough and the experience was most unpleasant. I started to try and use the gas oven to provide heat to the room but on checking, I decided not to as there wasn't a Carbon Monoxide alarm in the room (only a Smoke Alarm was found). An electric fan heater was located on the bathroom wall, but this was not working. The floor was always cold, very cold, with thermal bridging noticeable from the slab outside. (Night temperatures dropped to below 0°c) Insulation seemed to be missing. Loose rugs on the floor were curling in the corners and could easily trip somebody in low light conditions.

N/A for breakfast. Easy parking. Had everything we needed.

It would be nice if there were ice trays in the freezer.

Great little apartment, friendly owner. Would definitely go back.
