Cragdale Barn - Charming Cottage In The Yorkshire Dales

Cragdale Barn is an absolute gem in the heart of Settle! Its central location makes exploring the town effortless – everything is just a short stroll away. The Barn itself is stunning, blending a cosy cottage feel with quirky, stylish décor that gives it so much character. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the living room was the perfect spot to relax after a day out. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to make your stay special. I would 100% recommend Cragdale Barn to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Settle. If we return to the area, this will be the first place I book – it’s simply perfect!

Immaculately clean. Very close to Settle town centre.

Entrance to rear car parking space and the car parking itself not really suitable for larger cars.

Wonderful position and plenty of space. Easy to use the kitchen and bathroom fittings. Barn for car was helpful.

The bedrooms were cold at first and there was not enough bedding for us, only summer weight duvets. As we are in or 80s we found it quite hard to have to go upstairs at night to use the bathroom.

A charming two bed cottage, very central in Settle, lots of walks from the house, ample space for our small i10 car in the garage, character place, nicely decorated, comfy sofas and beds, soft sheets and nice toiletries and a bottle of milk and loaf of bread on arrival, which was welcome after a long journey. We had a great stay.

The location is a 2 minute walk to the market place. It's very clean and comfortable and has a homely feel. Although a bit tight, there is off road parking in the RH side of the barn.

Clean, well stocked/supplied/equipped Even left a loaf of bread for our use. Centre of town and local Co-op and Bootth's supermarkets within walking distance. Plenty of pubs, eating places and stores nearby.

No key-box number supplied before arrival and address was vague, should have said"Victoria Street" as there are variations on Cragdale in the block around the site and a postcode is not good enough. Stated parking was available, with a difficult to access undercover garage plus suggestion of parking on the footpath outside the Barn, which was dug up by the Local Council the next morning! Tried ringing to ascertain key-box number, however went to answering machine, so quite frustrating. When we eventually spoke with the manager, he told us the property was let to someone else, then after quite some conversation he admitted he had 'stuffed up' and said everything was correct and apologised. After that eveything went well!

The Cottage has a lot of character and is beautifully furnished. Everything I needed was included. Great central location and very clean.
