Swallow View, A Spacious Base with stunning views

We loved the view from the apartment, and that it had everything you needed. A very comfortable stay.

No dishwasher, lots of stairs

Swallow View is a beautifully finished apartment with fabulous views. It's very well equipped and there was even milk in the fridge, and tea, coffee and cookies, etc. Make sure you switch the fridge on at the socket though! (We didn't!) It's at the top of a steep hill but you can get a taxi from the town for £4 which is well worth it. My legs are still aching 3 days after the initial climb! There's a lovely pub just a few feet away called the Thorn Tree Inn which also has great views from the terrace. The owners of these apartments have done a fabulous job here. We were sad to leave.

Nothing.

Everything was superb. The communication beforehand was informative; the parking was easy and keys were in a box. The apartment was beautiful - so well designed, immaculate and having everything we needed. The views were stunning; the beds super comfortable and all so quiet. I cannot rate this property enough.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The flat was like home from home with top quality bedding etc also spotlessly clean.

Uphill walk from town. 2 lots of stairs

The property was very clean & well equipped. Beds were really comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space & nice big en-suite plus separate shower too. Great views & location for exploring the area. Before checking in we visited Ashbourne stepping stones & Thorpe Cloud, the next day we took a drive of around 50mins to visit Mam Tor, Winnats Pass, Monsal Head viewpoint & on our final day we visited Matlock Bath & went to The Heights of Abraham where we could see back over to where we were staying. Kitchen is well equipped, but we walked to The Red Lion pub one evening & ordered takeaway pizza from Allessandro’s just up the road the next.
