Bear Pause Retreat/Steps to Pkwy/With Indoor Pool

Ideale locatie, heel rustig gelegen. Redelijke prijs. Goed bed. Ruime badkamer. Comfortabele banken. Goed contact met verhuurder. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

Balkon: uitzicht op deuren van ander hotel. Veel herrie van airco's en afzuigsystemen. Daardoor was buiten zitten geen optie. Het gehele gebouw is wat smoezelig (behalve het tapijt was het appartement zelf wel schoon). Buitenzwembad ging pas open na Memorial Day terwijl het buiten 30 graden was.

Location can not be beat. This is right where you need to be. Pool is good and it’s a nice area to start

Unfortunately some things do need attention and fixing

The location really is the selling point for me. We've stayed at this complex multiple times before just different units. We love being in walking distance.

The place was clean upon arrival so no issues but if I had to say 1 thing I would've rather not had carpet. Just with kids it's easier to have a laminate.

Extra beds, had toiletries in stock, nice cozy place to stay right near the strip.

The apartment was in a very good location, clean and good value.

Few minor things but not worth listing

We were pleased with the proximity to the National Park and Gatlinburg. In town restaurants and sites are walkable. The condo was very clean and easy to get to. The host sent multiple texts to keep us informed and he offered any help we might need. The king-size mattress was very comfortable. We would consider staying here again.

It was in a decent location, bed was comfortable. Appreciated that there were carts to haul luggage to and from room. Loved the bear decor!

Walking into the condo, it “seemed” clean, no bad smells. But the carpet was dirty and disgusting. And I mean so dirty we didn’t take our shoes off the whole time. There was a smashed bug on the wall, dusty fixtures with cobwebs, blinds held together with tape, water pressure for shower was horrible, bathtub towel holder moldy, rain comes through the front door, creating water on the entryway, walls were beat up and very damaged. I messaged the owner multiple times and thought he would want to know the extent of the filth and he did not seem at all interested. He responded to me after I sent him the pictures “would you like to find other accommodations? He offered to refund me for unused days” at this point EVERYONE knows that downtown is sold out and nothing is available on short notice, so we declined, however we did leave a day early because it was not at all relaxing or comfortable. The bedroom is so bright at bedtime due to the huge sliding glass door with adjacent accommodations bright lights. I was hoping for an apology and a more empathetic response( not just you can leave if you want). It was very clear to us that this owner is only in this for the money and not to help guests have a relaxing and joyful vacation. This place needs serious updates. Carpets removed, blinds replaced, blackout curtains in the bedroom, fresher coat of paint, new housekeepers that can dust and remove dead bugs from walls, fix damage at front door and new bathroom shower fixtures,,, at a minimum. I am so confused about all the great reviews unless these conditions are very recent, which is why I reached out to Nick and wanted to make him aware. At this point, I have requested a refund of my last day stay that was forfeited with no response. He hasn’t responded to me. Of course he doesn’t have to, but it would be the right thing to do. Did not visit pool area so I cannot attest to its cleanliness. It won’t let me add all the photos, they will be listed on my Google review.
