Old Cape Farmhouse style was very nice. It was safe and clean.

The water saving showerhead and 2 minute shower limit. Rediculous to have a tiny stream to wash your entire body in 2 min and freezing during winter

The setting is breathtaking. You must see church street as separate from the main road through Tulbagh. Church street has a row of Cape Dutch houses built in the 1790s, and the guest house is one of them. I stayed in the "WagonHouse" - a large semi-detached room with privacy and its own entrance. There's a great restaurant nearby (Chef&Co) and all amenities in the main road (pharmacy, convenience store, petrol garage etc). When they say quiet hours from 22h00 they mean QUIET... it's very peaceful at night

The box of matches in the kitchen to light the gas stove only had 2 unused matches in it. At 4h45 there wouldn't have been anyone to get matches from if I hadn't lit the stove on first try.
