Four Bedrooms and Two Bathrooms up to Nine People

Organised property. Perfect for the family for a night away! Ash was always their if we needed anything!

The house is completely not fit for purpose. On arrival we were greeted with a very strong smell of cannabis which was so strong that we all felt dizzy. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms and kitchen NO LIVING ROOM, NO PLACE TO SIT AN EAT (NO SEATING AREA/TABLE) THIS IS NOT WHAT IS STATED IN DESCRIPTION. This ment if you were to eat in the house you would need to eat in beds???? There is a locked door to the rear of the property which i was told by the host Ash we didn't have access to which made me feel uneasy as we had 3 children with us. Upon inspecting the kitchen the cupboard fell off the wall nearly landing on my young daughters head. This had been put on the wall with nails only, no wall plugs and had clearly fell off before. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms and again another locked door that Ash the host again said we did not have access to. He also put in our welcome message that the house was ours alone for the first night when we had booked 3 nights. The listing does not mention shared accommodation at any point. The house was filfy throughout and reassembled that of a squat rather than a holiday rental. This was the final straw we could not stay there due to safety of my 3 children. When i contacted the host Ash he was very blasé about it all and could not offer an real explanation. He was extremely unhelpful and just advised to contact booking.com for assistance. I strongly suspect that the host was in the property whilst we were there which just seems even more strange. Currently still awaiting a refund which Ash has refused presently and booking.com are looking into this. PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING. THIS HOUSE IS NOT FIT FOR A DOG LET ALONE A HUMAN BEING!

There was nothing to like about this property as it was a shit hole.

Nothing was good about this property you have druggies living next door smelling of weed the house was smelling of weed, no facilities cups or plates to eat from.

Good location, neatness and friendly Host.

One of the upstairs bed is always fallen when sleep on it. I fell while trying to sit/sleep in bed. The downstairs toilet is clutching anytime someone flush. This need tor be sorted out please.

Location is good and the house is spacious to accommodate more than 9 people plus free parking

The heater was not working and so apartment was cold till owner brought small heaters we had no warm water so no one could have a shower after a long day touring the town and the next morning before checkout the apartment was not clean to the expertee standard one of the double bed was very bad its kept falling off the tv didnt work there were no toiletries or towels provided as per advert well we couldn’t even have our bath as there was no warm water and owner kept stalling us that he called a plumber but he did not

Ash, the host, had good communication and was very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. There was an upstairs and downstairs bathroom facility. The fridge was stocked with cold water.

When we entered, we were informed by the host that there was no lock on the front door, and he had full access to the house at all times. There was no access through the back door, which is a fire hazard. The front door had no indoor lock. This made us feel there was no privacy, and we were uneasy for the duration of our stay. The code we were given did not work. There were no fire doors in the property. Once in the property, we found there was no dining room or living room - or anywhere to sit only homemade beds with 4 inch thick mattresses. When unpacking our food supplies, we found there was limited storage. The owners' belonings were stored under the stairs, and the cupboards were full of a mix mash of crockery and old spices. The cupboard doors were hanging off the hinges and would not close. The dishes needed washing before use. There was not enough cutlery for four people. The drawers were full of rubbish and unclean. The kitchen bin was disgusting. It was only when we went to take out the rubbish did we see how filthy the bin was (see attached picture) When we unpacked the toiletries, we found the old sponge in the bathroom along with a full bin of rubbish, no lock, and a measuring jug! The shower had limescale and water marks on. Upstairs was no better - similar marks on the shower, no blind and window cleaning materials left on the side. We had no control over the heating it was far too hot in this property. The door to the front downstairs bedroom was shoddy. It did not fit the gap, and it would not close properly. The sockets were hanging off the wall in more than one place, risking a fire hazard. The bed next to the bathroom had a broken slat. Underneath the beds, there was rubbish from previous guests such as: open packets of biscuits, cigarette boxes, clothing tags, hangers, old water bottles, and an old sock. This is evidence the rooms had not been cleaned properly. The dog was barking until the early hours preventing us from sleeping.
