Whitianga Blue Bach - Location Location Location!

Wonderful location, right in town

Would loved to have had a coffee plunger, we managed to find one in an op shop and left it for other guests :)

Nicely maintained and decorated Bach near waterfront. Washer, dryer, WiFi, kitchen appliances all very useful. Host was very friendly, helpful and responsive. Overall a lovely place.

House is old, design not necessarily very practical with toilet, wash basin, shower all scattered and a bit tiny, kitchen ok if you just stay a few days, rather unpractical when staying longer and intending to use it regularly.

Great location - close to the beach and places to eat and drink.

Blue Bach is in a fabulous location. Only minutes from the beach and lovely Esplanade walks, whilst being very close to all the shops, cafes, restaurants in the town centre. The house was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well equipped and although the outside space isn’t huge it had a dining table and chairs which was a pleasant space to enjoy breakfast in a morning and BBQ dinners. Jeanette and Grant, the hosts, were very welcoming and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Whitianga.

Alles war sehr gut! Die Lage ist perfekt - schnell bei den Geschäften, Cafés, Restaurants und auch beim Strand. Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts.

Nichts

It's a beautiful cottage. I stayed there for over a month, so I can say with certainty that the cottage is fully equipped with everything you need. The cottage is perfectly located. When you walk down the street, you come to the beach, and the street behind it is full of restaurants and takeaway places. The owners, Jeanette and Grant, are easy to reach and very respectful of your privacy. I would definitely come back!

I had to get used to the fact that there was no proper lock on the door. Even though that may not be necessary in this neighborhood, if you come from a neighborhood where it is necessary (especially as a woman staying there alone), it remains a bit scary. After a while, I got used to it. And of course nothing did happened.

The location was great because it was both close to the hot spots of the Coromandel,, but also the wharf and beach right by the property are nice too with good parking. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry with everything needed for a long weekend stay. Outdoor space was lovely as both private and quiet and shaded from the hot sun and sea winds in evening. Perfect for a BBQ on the provided gas BBQ.

The air-conditioning unit is only in the living room so the bedrooms got a bit warm given the particularly warm summer weather. Second night we left bedroom doors open to let the cold air in which worked!
