BRMuito confortável a casa adorei
GBLocation, near to city centre, great food iutlets around the corner. The kitchen was extremely well fitted and kitted out, beds were comfortable.
No door handles on inside bathroom. Plug sticking in main bedroom en suite. No anti slip mat in 2nd bedroom steps down en suite. Leather settees dirty, sticky, needed cleaning, which we did. Carpet coming away from grip rail in places causing hazard. Carpet did not appear to have been cleaned. The occupier in 12b was up every morning around 5am, and his movements were noisy, waking us all up!
GBVery quirky Location great, off road parking a definite bonus, but only for a small size car as it’s a bit tight.
Lack of utensils (no bread knife) chipped crockery, decor needs attention, carpet needs replacing, small bath/shower difficult to get in and out of Overall needs some tlc
GBIt is a lovely house in a perfect location. Parking is great. The house has everything you need and is of a high standard and is immaculately clean. Very spacious downstairs area and downstairs toilet. We didn’t really cook apart from toast for breakfast but if you wanted to make your own food everything is there. The patio gets the sun in the afternoon too which is a bonus on a hot weekend like we had and you want to get some time out from the shops! All the instructions from the hosts were also easy to follow.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
GBThe house was extremely well located, perfect for exploring Chester. The downstairs layout was very good with plenty of space for relaxing and also a table and chairs. There was a downstairs loo. There was a pleasant outdoor area. The kitchen was well equipped and laid out. We had been left a bottle of prosecco and some treats which we appreciated. Information from the hosts was very helpful. Overall we did enjoy our stay, it was decent value for such a central location, we really appreciated being so close to town.
Both bedrooms upstairs were ensuite but only one had a wardrobe or anywhere to hang anything. The bathroom for that bedroom had a nice shower room but the handle of the door wasn't secure and there were no hooks to hang a towel. The other ensuite had a strange mini bath/shower which was difficult to climb in and out of and could get slippery. Also the taps didn't have a grip on them. There was only a curtain on the door so no privacy. We could hear the movement in the flat above quite a lot, not that they were doing anything particularly noisy, but just them walking around from early in the morning. The parking was very useful so close to town but the space was a bit awkward and tight. The bedrooms could do with some improvements.
GBGreat location. Well decorated and good contemporary design. Good facilities in the main.
I am afraid the fridge was not great. It did not have any shelves on the door so there was little space for bottles. The internal shelves were plastic not glass or wire so they sagged and did not inspire any confidence that they would hold bottles. It was tatty looking and clearly needs replacement. It lets down a good property
GBOur weekend away was for a birthday treat with our parents. The cottage is extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was a pleasant surprise to have a downstairs toilet. There seemed to be everything we needed for our stay and we enjoyed our welcome hamper. The main bedroom was extremely spacious and the smaller room was adequate for a weekend stay. The beds, pillows and linen we're great. The location is excellent with everything on the doorstep. Shopping, restaurants and some lovely pubs. Overall a fantastic stay that we would return to😊
There were no particular dislikes just small improvements that would have made this completely perfect. The small bedroom's bathroom would benefit from a shelf for toiletries. We found the bath/shower was very difficult to access and the steps were slippy. Consider installing a grab rail and non slip mat or treads on the steps.
GBParking difficult due to very narrow carpark. Doable - but not easy
