METT Marbella Estepona

The location and the pool and beach facilities. Other than that simply nothing!

Extremely disappointing experience at METT Marbella, especially considering this was supposed to be our honeymoon stay. From the moment we arrived, the service was unorganized and far below the standard of a luxury hotel. The reception took our passports and asked us to sit while they completed the check-in process. They offered us welcome drinks, but the drinks took more than 30 minutes to arrive, and even after that, the check-in was still not finished. When we finally got to the room, we discovered they had given us a double bed instead of a proper king bed, despite clearly informing the hotel that we were staying as a married couple on our honeymoon. Their first response was simply, “Sorry, we have no rooms available.” No upgrade was offered, no real attempt to solve the issue professionally. Only after I insisted on an upgrade did they “speak to management” and come back with the idea of placing a layer between the two beds to make it look like one bed. The gap and dent in the middle were still extremely noticeable and uncomfortable. The AC in the room was also very weak, making the stay even more uncomfortable. Communication with reception was another ongoing issue. Most of the time they would not answer the phone, and when they did, it would take over 5 minutes for anyone to respond or assist. There is not even a proper guest services option on the room phone — only reception, spa, or room service. Housekeeping was careless throughout the stay. One day they cleaned the room but left the tissue box completely empty without replacing it. Another day, we left shopping bags outside the room expecting housekeeping to dispose of them while cleaning, yet they simply ignored them completely. The hotel also limits “complimentary” water to only two bottles per day. When we asked for additional water, reception told us we had to order through room service for €15 per bottle, which is honestly ridiculous for a hotel advertising itself as luxury.

Die Lage ist toll, die Anlage ebenfalls, das Personal teilweise überschaubar. Was einem 5 Sterne Hotel nicht würdig ist, wenn ich zum Frühstück 25 Minuten warten muss bis mir ein Platz zugewiesen wird obwohl Tische frei sind.

Das Abendessen in den beiden Restaurant war gut. Auswahl während dem Tag an der Poolbar könnte abwechslungsreicher sein. Sauberkeit und Zimmer top.

Property was great, rooms wonderful and clean. Pool area clean.

The service was extremely poor, consistently across the whole property. Everything from check in, to taxi ordering, the ability to order a drink or lunch around the pool, breakfast service was totally chaotic. I was never sure if my request for anything was going to be followed up on and 9/10 it wasn’t and I had to ask again.

The comfort

The manger and the staff were not helpful at all and kept talking about the solution but never did anything I lost my reservation because they were not collaborative in sending an iron and a stand for the bags even the manger in both duties didn’t do anything!! Just promised for nothing

We absolutely loved our stay at METT Marbella! The hotel was beautiful and luxurious, the food was amazing, and the pool area was stunning. The beach was lovely and the service throughout our stay was truly excellent. Everything felt relaxing, stylish, and high quality. We honestly enjoyed every moment there.

If I had to mention one small downside, it would be that the hotel is a bit far from shops and other activities. However, we enjoyed the hotel so much that we didn’t even really want to leave the property.
