Guests highly rate the friendly staff and frequently praise the beautiful location.
INstay was good and location is near the airport
far from the centre . no nearby malls .. connectivity issues
INStaff and location was good.
When they charge a 5 star rates the expectations go up and wrt that property was not at par. Eventhough the staff personally did their best, the attention to detail with price charged was far behind. The restaurant size, buffet options did not do justice to the price.
ILהחדר נוח ומפנק. הבריכה נעימה. הצוות מאד קשוב ושירותי
חלק מהאוכל חריף עד חריף מאד, למרות שהבטיחו לי שאינו חריף
INoverall the locations and hospitiailty of staff are grade, but the options in the breadkfast is very less
GBWe had a great 2 night stay here, the location was rural and away from the main towns but very convenient as a central base for exploring the local areas like Dharamsala, Kangra or the Masroor stone cut temples, Gaggal airport is less than 15 minutes away. The hotel is clean and tidy and set in quiet, natural surroundings and decorated thoughtfully in a traditional Himalayan style. Delicious food could be ordered as required and a good selection of breakfast and afternoon tea was provided in the restaurant. Taxis can easily be arranged with the friendly and attentive hotel staff.
INPROS ✅ Aesthetically Pleasing Property – The resort is genuinely beautiful. The architecture and landscaping are well thought-out, and the overall vibe is peaceful and charming. ✅ Stunning Views of the Dhauladhar Range – The views of the Dhauladhar mountain range are simply breathtaking and are easily one of the highlights of the property. ✅ True to Its Name – The birdsong here is real and constant throughout the day. If you're a nature lover, this part of the experience does not disappoint. ✅ Lovely Outdoor Spaces – The outdoor sitting areas are pleasant and well-maintained. A great place to simply sit and soak in the surroundings. ✅ The Swimming Pool – There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool on the property. Practical use aside — the temperature during my visit made actually swimming in it a bit of a stretch — the pool is visually stunning. It overlooks the mountain range and is genuinely pleasing to look at, even if you never get in. A lovely addition to the property. ✅ Decent Food at the Restaurant – The food at the restaurant is good. I would not call it exceptional or overwhelmingly impressive, but it is solid, decent, and enjoyable. For a property in this location, it does the job well and there is nothing to complain about on that front. ✅ Thoughtful Birthday Gesture – My stay happened to coincide with my birthday, and the staff went out of their way to acknowledge it. They baked a cake and placed it in my room as a surprise — a genuinely warm and thoughtful touch that I truly appreciated. It reflects the kind of personal care the staff brings to their guests. ✅ Wonderful Restaurant Staff – A specific mention for the restaurant team, who deserve to be called out individually. Every time you walk in, you are greeted warmly and made to feel genuinely welcome. They check on you during your meal, make sure you are comfortable, and go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after.
Serious Pest & Wildlife Infestation – This is not a minor issue, and I say this as someone who wants to be fair: the property has a significant problem with lizards, spiders, and bugs — not just in the grounds or common areas, but inside the rooms themselves. Let me paint a picture for you. Imagine waking up at 6:35 in the morning. You turn on the lights. And the very first thing you see — right above your head, on the wall — is a lizard staring back at you. How does that feel? That is not a hypothetical. That is exactly what happened to me. If you went to bed after a nightmare, congratulations — you have just woken up into one as well. I got up, went to reception, and brought someone back to help remove it from the room. By the time we returned and opened the door, the lizard had disappeared. The staff member who came to help looked around, couldn't locate it, and left — with a shrug of helplessness. Now think about what that means: I am standing in my own hotel room, knowing full well that a lizard is still somewhere in there — hiding, unseen — and the staff has resigned themselves to not being able to do anything about it. That is the moment I was left with. Alone. In a room. With a lizard I could no longer see. And before anyone dismisses this as an exaggeration — I have photographs. I took a picture of the lizard inside my room. This happened. Every single day of my stay, I encountered at least one lizard — either right outside my door toward the end of the day or, as described above, inside my hotel room. I've also spotted spiders and other bugs outside my room — creatures I couldn't even name — as well as a spider in the restroom near the swimming pool. To be clear — I am not someone who complains about everything. During my early morning jogs, I encountered monkeys just outside the property and even inside the grounds. I have absolutely no complaint about that.
INBreakfast has a good spread. However the staff makes it more better as they are homely and add the extra warmth to ensure that you enjoy the breakfast. The breakfast is wholesome and can caters to all tastes across the country. We also tried out the local dham which was very well cooked. The chef does his bit in producing an excellent meal. The staff also made sure that we had an excellent spread of sandwiches and pakoras at the swimming pool during high tea. The staff contributed in making our stay exquisite. The rooms with balcony are comfortable and house keeping made sure the room was as good as expected.
Other than the short approach road nothing to state that we were not happy about.
