CAI liked all the natural light, the comfortable bed, the little fridge in the suite and the selection of teas available. The design and setup of the repurposed old ice factory is really cool. I would definitely stay there again. The city of York is exceptional.
GBExcellent location . Nice big room , excellent ensuite . Communal kitchen was an added bonus . On day of check out ,we could keep our cases there while we had a last walk round after check out time
A lot of stairs to climb , WiFi was quite weak signal most of the time

GBThe location was excellent . The room was very spacious and immaculately clean. There was a large separate lounge area with a climbing wall, books and games. There was a separate kitchen available with everything you would want. There was a small fridge in my room with milk and water plus tea and coffee . It is probably the best place I have ever stayed . The owners are absolutely so nice and kind . They ordered me an Uber and they were certainly so helpful towards me . They care about the people who stay there.
I am recovering from a broken leg and there were lots of stairs to go up to my room which was quite worrying but I managed it okay. There are other rooms on lower floors available . I found getting into and out of the property quite complicated. I think you had to lift a handle and turn a knob when you got in . You had to make sure you did this or the property wouldn’t be fully locked. Probably it may be a good idea if this was written down for people staying as I did not do this once and the owners told me . They are very responsible and caring towards anyone staying . I am sorry to the owners that this happened.
GBGBMike and Vi were extremely accommodating and made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend the ice cream factory!
