Woodside Cottage - Cartmel Fell, Windermere

Myself and a group of friends visited this amazing house for a short trip away to the Lake District. On arrival there were little surprises left out and the house was beautiful 😍 We will definitely be visiting again!

The decor was absolutely beautiful, it looked like it had come straight out of a magazine. The hosts were brilliant and messaged us before our stay with a number to call if we needed to. The instructions at the cottage were easy to follow. Everything was so comfortable, the sofas and the beds were super relaxing and the whole place was just a dream of relaxation. No noise or light pollution. Making the hot tub on a night truly magical.

Because of the extremely cold weather (-5°c) the hot tub took so long to get to an appropriate temperature meaning I spent a long time getting it going and keeping an eye on it, arriving at 3pm our first day meant using the hot tub wasn't possible. This wasn't the host's fault but I wonder if possibly this could have been set away a little before guests arrive just with it being advertised as a selling point of the cottage. Then unfortunately there was a hot water issue in the beautiful room with the en suite which we looked forward to staying in as I was away with my fiancée and her parents. We managed without it but it was a shame. Again though the hosts did tell me this was an issue the day I booked it, and as I did book only 1 day in advance this could have likely all been organised had I booked a bit earlier. We will most definitely be staying again and look forward to staying in that room. The whole place is honestly amazing and my dislikes aren't really dislikes.

Freezer needs a defrost

The house is beautiful and has great views. Lovely layout to house, and very clean. Owners left us prosecco, chocolates, eggs and milk. The house was well heated and had everything you could need. It was a family visit, 2 couples and 2 single people and there was plenty of room as the property has 4 rooms. It has central heating plus log burners. It has washing machine, tumble drier and all appliances you could need. Room for us to park our three cars. Lovely house, we enjoyed our tine here.

Beautifully decorated, spotless, well equipped and in a wonderfully peaceful location.

There were no negatives!

Beautiful property with lots of space. Great location, close to several pubs.

The only issue we had was finding the property at the outset, which was quickly remedied by checking the emailed info by the host. The email had only got to me an hour prior to reaching though so would have been helpful to have it beforehand.

Bed were very comfortable. Lovely rooms with plenty of space. Loved the hot tub.

The cottage was super lovely, great and quiet location. Short drive to the village and pubs nearby. Absolutely beautiful!
