Location was excellent. Roof top patio had a great view — but …..see what we did not like. Check in directions were very clear and well written.

One small window in the entire living area which included living room, kitchen and dining area. It was dark and depressing except when in the bedroom or on the roof top. The roof top was filled with dried pigeon poop and you could not step outside without shoes and then you were crunching in the poop! Not fun to track that back in the apartment. The roof top deck should be cleaned before guest arrival. No AC or fans. Only had a bath tub and hand held shower. You could not stand in the tub. Communication with host after check in was delayed and did not help with immediate small issues.

The location and rooftop terrace. We liked having a bath after a long day sightseeing in Florence and listening to a busker in the nearby square as we sat on the roof terrace.

Lack of personal greeting and customer care. We had problems uploading info to a digital check in site and were told no details for check could be sent before this. We wasted lots of time and worry on this and the response was not good. We had to call them and the friendly head office type person then set up a What’s App group with us where we uploaded docs but they then sent exactly the same link to check in. We worked things out for ourselves changing browser. When I messaged to tell them we had arrived and in the spirit of helping other guests suggest they tell people to use a Chrome Browser we received a curt message reminding us check us was at 1500 as we had arrived at the flat and entered before that. We also got a reminder to leave at 1000 and no personal greetings. We also got a welcome box with a dishwasher tab in it which sums up the customer care approach. We felt a bit like an inconvenience rather than guests to be looked after. No local contact you ask for restaurant tips etc It was a special anniversary visit for us and we tried to ignore all this but it added unnecessary stress and tension to what should have been a perfectly lovely stay. A shame as the flat location is great and could be amazing with better roof furniture and more personal service. The rooftop is the highlight but the cheap plastic furniture really let it down.

The apartment is very well located-in the historical centre. Amazing covered terrace with 360 degree outlook over the city.

There are a great many stairs to climb to get to this accommodation, and more stairs inside, as the apartment is on more than one level. Something to keep in mind if stairs are a difficulty.

Fantastic location. Lovely rooftop terrace and wonderful views across Lucca.

The split level property. The bathroom was on a different floor to the bedroom. The bathroom didn’t have a shower but had a hand held one over the bath. However you can’t stand up in the bath as the ceiling slopes. There’s no air conditioner but we didn’t find it a problem even with temperatures of 32 degrees. There are fans and we left the windows open. Oh and mustn’t forget the stairs. Not suitable if you are less mobile. It’s a long way up (and down) with suitcases! The rooftop terrace is an added bonus being in the city but it is run down and could do with being made extra special.

At the very first moment, when you start to climb all the stars to the appartment, in the middle of the summer, at 36 deghrees Celsius, you say to yourself "ma chi me lo fa fare!". But afterwards, when you discover the Terrazza, all the effort is paid off! The Trerrazza is pure enyojment and relax! You will remember you stay by being on the top of Lucca forever!

Terrace had a spectacular view but the outdoor chairs could be better. Bedroom is spacious and quiet.

The furniture is very outdated with an uncomfortable sleeping couch. No air-conditioning which is fine but there were no fans and limited air ventlation in the house. Height in the shower/tub area is quite low so difficult for tall people.

Lovely rooftop terrace views and great location.

A lot of steps up, which could be tricky for people with mobility issues.
