It is a BEAUTIFUL apartment! We loved the location, amenities, etc. The host was responsive and friendly. The pool looks like a resort! We truly enjoyed our stay!

"There for work"

It was a nice, gated community - quiet and plenty of parking.

The bed is very (very) uncomfortable - saggy (not just soft, but saggy). The chair at the desk was not really suitable for sitting and working. The couch was worn and also very saggy. But worst was the misinformation. I booked using Booking.com but the host called to say the credit card processing failed (it didn't - booking.com just hold the payment until the stay in case of cancellation I guess - it was refundable) but the host called and wanted me to pay off the booking.com platform due to 'payment issues'. Of course I suspected this to be a scam as I had the booking.com confirmation and never have problems paying on platform. It wasn't a scam really, but it was disingenuous - close to a lie - by the host. They just wanted the money earlier than booking.com were prepared to release it I suspect. I did book for over$4k of accommodation and it was a number of weeks before my stay, so it was a lot of money.

"Deceitful and not what I paid for"

Ike was AWFUL to work with and move our accommodation to entirely different location without telling us. When we arrived from out of state, we put in Maps the address for the property. We showed up and it was an entirely different property than what I had booked. I didn't get a notification via email or text that we had been moved to a different property nor did I consent to this. I suspect Ike was able to charge more at the Woodlands Lodge property for the accommodation I paid for and he put me in a cheaper/budget option since we got a good price given it was Ironman weekend. I booked the accommodation MONTHS ago and coordinated with my sister who was participating in Ironman so we could stay on the stay property for ease of transportation/race coordination. Ike put us in a property almost 20 minutes away from my sister forcing us to have significant driving added to our short two night itinerary and greatly impacted our ability to race prep. I have an infant and this was a huge burden. When I called him when we arrived at the incorrectly booked spot, he didn't apologize and had excuse after excuse. He blamed 'international guests' (direct quote) for bringing bed bugs, then he said they overbooked because of Ironman. None of those sound like my fault as a paying customer so I was at a loss as to why we were moved without notification. There was no accountability or effort to make things right on his end. Ike didn't apologize once and got very defensive on the phone call. Anyone but Ike is welcome to contact me to discuss the issues I had with my stay personally. He should not be working in customer service.

The location was great.

The mold in the bathroom, the hard flat pillows, and the bed bugs in the room with the double queen size beds. Two people found bed bugs in their queen size bed and one was bitten on the first night then bitten several times the next night. When speaking with the property manager he was in denial and would not take accountability. All the staff stated is they would investigate it. They never apologized, didn't show concern, and didn't offer us anything for our inconvenience. Very disappointing. Our employees came here for a conference and picked this location because it was super close and affordable, but it wasn't worth it now that we have to wash all clothes at a laundry mat and buy new luggage to ensure their bed bugs don't follow us home.
