Detached House with a private en suite room

The room is on the upper floor of a dublex house. The family was very nice and welcoming.

Regrettably, the room's cleanliness fell short. The sheets bore visible crumbs, and the bed linens showed signs of wear. The mug retained coffee residue, while the shower cabin had stray hairs. The room's fridge was both noisy and unclean inside.

Location was good

No Sugar and milk with coffee facility’s bath towels small only toiletries was hand wash but advertises toiletries

The host was brilliant and made up feel very welcome

Bed was a tad squeaky. However the room was extremely clean and had more facilities than expected

I recently booked this accommodation at no 47 bernisdale drive clydebank. Firstly I'd like to highlight the advert is very misleading .This accommodation is a fully functioning Asian family home.And let me be very clear I am not racist by any means but the home had a very strong aroma it was extremely off putting and I felt uneasy leaving my clothes out airing openly.In the short 2 hour period I was in the property I was not greeted with a warm welcome being asked to remove my shoes .There was a constant chirping of budgies till 8 o'clock at nite crashing and banging of dishes from the home owners till the same time.I was shown my room which never had the appropriate amenities like cutlery or any from of dishes.I was not given a key to the property to come and I go was expected to chap the door to be allowed entry to my own paid accommodation which instantly felt uncomfortable with and very inconvenient giving my working hours felt it was very inconsiderate.I had originally contacted the other who offered a partial refund but I also raised the concerns of a refund with booking.com who also contacted the owner but because of this the owner has now refused to answer my email and my text message now leaving me £162 out of pocket.I would not recommend this accommodation very dissatisfied and disappointed

Booking.com should really vet these households as seems anyone can give a false advertisement and description of there accommodation to make money out of folk whole experience has left me very Disappointed with booking.com especially when yous can't even get my a partial refund very disgusted with the whole experience
