They facilitated a slightly early check-in and the location was very central. It was relatively cheap but there was a price to pay for that!

The place was roasting hot and the air conditioning wasn't working, something I only discovered when I got there. When I raised this, they brought over a fan but it was so hot, the fan had to keep running all the time. This included at night, so having a noisy fan running made it tough to sleep. I asked repeatedly if the air con was going to be fixed and they promised they'd raise this with the management but ultimately I never heard back from them. In the upstairs bedroom you have to crouch under a metal girder about five feet from the ground to get to the wardrobe/closets. The girder should at least be safeguarded to avoid head injuries. But worst of all was the narrow, winding stairwell with no handrails on either side. They were very awkward and I'd fear for anyone with mobility issues if they have to negotiate them, especially as the toilet in on the bottom floor. Budapest is a beautiful city that is well worth visiting, but I wish I'd researched my accommodation better instead of just taking the first cheap, central option I found. I still enjoyed Budapest but you don't need this kind of hassle and stress on a short trip.

Not an enjoyable stay at all. I wish I had read the reviews before booking this place as someone else had already complained about the aircon making loud noises making it impossible to sleep. Host was unable to get this resolved during our stay so we had no aircon. I asked if someone could deliver a fan as it got really stuffy up in the mezzanine where the bed was but they were unable to do so for some reason. The communication with the host was terrible and I was constantly having to chase them up for answers. Only positive about this apartment is that it is located in a good location surrounded by restaurants and bars. Other than that would not recommend.
