The walls are super thin, other customers slamming doors, shouting down the echoey tunnel of a hallway all evening. When other people rapped on their friend’s doors, I often wondered if someone was knocking on mine. The TV audio is pathetic, at full volume, the voices in all the movies still sounded so faraway it was no good. Construction in the adjacent plot for the foreseeable next three years (now 2025)? You can see it from your window: There’s a large pit that comes right up to the MaxOne walls: Crews are driving piles for an entirely new property, there’ll be a plonking drilling noise from 7:30am (not 8am as they tell you) till 5pm you can’t stand it. Room had only one power outlet, so had to boil water by the bed rather ridiculous. You are on the main stretch so it’s really busy traffic all the time, allow extra time for travel.

Good location, many restaurants and shops nearby. Small and nice pool at the rooftop not many people there swimming so I can enjoy my swim time better.

The elevator was under maintenance while I was there so I must do stairs to the rooftop for swim and breakfast. I stayed at the ground fl and rooftop at 4th floor. I have knees problems so it was tough.

This is my second time staying at MaxOne Ubud, and it continues to be a pleasant experience. The location is very strategic — conveniently within walking distance to shops, cafés, and other essentials, which makes getting around easy to any shops nearby. Although the hotel is located near a main roadside, the noise level inside the rooms remains surprisingly low, allowing for a comfortable and restful stay. The price is very affordable, and while the furnishings are simple, they are practical and sufficient. The room size is also reasonably spacious, offering a comfortable amount of space to move around. Overall, it’s a great value for money and an ideal option for those who prefer a convenient and fuss-free stay in Ubud. I would be happy to recommend this to backpackers, families and all travellers alike.
