Stylish City Centre Hideaway & Private Hot Tub

Hot tub was great and the location is very good

We booked this place short notice and were super positively surprised! The price had dropped because of our spontaneous booking and getting such a huge house with a hot tub even right in the city centre for this price was almost too good to be true. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a team who took some photos of the place and had left everything in such a beautiful state. It was a real wow-moment! Plus, there is a pub on one side and an empty house on the other, so it was no problem at all when we were a bit louder one evening. All in all, we had a wonderful weekend!

The only thing that gave a bit of a bad touch to it was the communication (that's why it's a 9 and not a 10) and I'm writing this more as feedback to the hosts than as a review (I just didn't know where to best let them know). We were in contact with someone through Booking.com before, during and after the stay which went very well and we always received quick responses. However, we also received some phone calls from different people who also seemed to be managing the house. It was a bit confusing because they didn't seem to be communicating with each other. We had to state our check-in times with both. At the end of our stay we asked via Booking.com if we could leave the luggage for a few hours and they approved. When we were out that day though, we got a call asking where we were. When I explained, it seemed like they didn't know of the approval and said it actually wasn't okay to leave the luggage. It was no problem for us to pick it up right away, so that's all good. We just wanted to give the feedback that the communication could be improved.

The property is big and spacious

When we arrived on Friday, we first got a call to say they would send a code and that we would be able to check in from 3pm,10 minutes passed and we got another phone call from Cormac stating the room was left in bad condition and that we couldn’t have the hottub room. Cormac was very nice about the whole situation and gave us another one of his properties to stay in whilst the room was being fixed up & offered us to stay on the Saturday in the jacuzzi for us to get to the room and the jacuzzi was freezing cold and not a couch to sit on. We reached out to there team and got no response, I reached out to Cormac himself and he wouldn’t respond to a message we had sent. The staffs attitude was for us to “cancel our booking” that was nonrefundable.
