LUXURY BEACH PROPERTY- Neptune's Nest

Beautiful sea views Very nicely decorated inside Had mostly everything you needed.

No windows to open, but could step outside onto decking at least Needed a drying rack to dry towels ( had a tumble dryer which was great!) Asked for an extra bed, but was not provided and some extra blankets would have been great

Location fantastic.Well furnished and much thought was given towards ensuring guests comfort.

The settee cushions were malodorous. Presuming guests have their dogs sleep on the sofa. Tended to avoid sitting there.

Location is excellent directly on the beach front with the coastal path allowing convenient access to the town

This apartment is amazing. I never was in a better location. I would like to rebuild my home like that

We had no hot water until our last day and I booked so we could use the SPA bath which was no use without hot water

Lovely location and great apartment.

A really secluded apartment with an amazing balcony right on the beach. It's a very short walk to Sandgate and 20 min walk from Folkestone. Would highly recommend.

- firstly we couldn’t get into the property the key didn’t work, phoned owner who turned out to be in South Africa so goodness know what that call will cost me, and he directed us to second set of keys - secondly sofa bed (property says sleeps 4) two slats were broken and my son fell through the bed, owners retort was to prop with cushions we ended up asking a friend for a tool box and screws and fixed it ourselves. - dishwasher didn’t work. After 8 hrs on a programme we gave up and washed dishes by hand - upstairs was rented for 2 nights out of our 5 thank goodness they weren’t party animals as you could hear every foot step and they seemed to think the 2 parking spaces were there’s as owners had told them this? Not sure where we were supposed to park. - jacuzzi bath jets don’t work (had read this review before so was prepared) -windows frames are rotten, and window glass so smeared by sea salt you can’t see out, thank goodness we were outside on the deck - outside furniture is rotten and two chairs collapsed -deck outside full of debris from the sea, pebbles, vegetation etc - such a shame as best equipped self catering we have been too and welcome basket a genuine plus - floors were super dirty and owners challenged me saying they had a great cleaner and stated “ Floors are bleached each and every time as they were this time” , all I can say is that within 10 mins my socks were black? We wore shoes rest of the stay - when I tried to point faults out to owners he said phone my wife as I’m lost in Cape Town and wife said I’m only human,- I have messaged a couple of neighbours to see if they have anything - but am not getting a response - there is nothing in the garage.

The location was exceptional, our host was very generous in offering us a later check out and leaving us goodies including Prosecco.

If I were being ultra critical I would suggest perhaps the property requires a makeover in part, but where doesn't? This however is not meant to be a complaint, just a constructive suggestion !
