Blue House Porto Apartments

The location was great, right next to most of the main tourist attractions in Porto. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen was well-equipped and the bathroom is spacious and renovated. Check out process was quick and easy. Very responsive staff.

The property manager charges extra for check in after business hours. Probably not the best option if you're traveling by car and don't have an exact estimated arrival time. Although the staff was great and very responsive, the check in was a bit confusing as we arrived by car and it took the staff member around 15 min to arrive and take us to the parking place.

In general, the apartment is good. The master bedroom is ok and the bathroom as well.

In our case, the auxiliary bed was a very bad experience. Due to its bad conditions, I got a terrible back pain. Night time was a nightmare, light and noise avoid to have a pleasant dream . We had to wait for a long time to get the the key of the apartment.

The apartment is clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped with everything you'd need. The location is absolutely perfect, many of the sights are nearby and there are endless restaurants. The WiFi was great.

The check in was nothing short of a disaster. You have to meet a person and despite informing them of our arrival time we had to wait for an hour for them to arrive. This wouldn't be so bad, but we had a car and the roads/parking in the area are a nightmare, there's nowhere to park and all the roads are one way, if you go past the apartment you have to drive around the whole city again to get back. It was very stressful trying to find somewhere to leave the car while we waited, and we ended up having to find paid parking away from the apartment. We only had enough coins for 30 mins, so the hour long wait stressed us immensely after a long day to get there. When we did check in we had to drive around the city again with the lady who checked us in the figure out how to get to the underground parking. Driving in Porto is not easy and it was stressful. I don't know why they couldn't just provide the code for the front door and lock box and directions to the parking lot, there was no need to meet up with a person at all. If you intend to spend a lot of time down at the river it is a very long uphill back to the apartment.
