Beautiful location, property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Woodburner really heated up the property, lots of wood available.

It’s very remote, which we liked, but bear in mind nearest towns are minimum 30 mins away. We had a flurry of snow early April and it made one of the roads completely impassable, we got stuck!

Very interesting and quirky building. Location and scenery were fantastic. We felt very ‘at home’ here.

Attempts to phone housekeepers were not successful, both numbers rang to answerphones.

Amazing location, overlooking river on grounds of the estate. Quirky property, good sized well equipped and modern kitchen, good sized bedrooms. Cosy lounge with fabulous picture window onto river.

Functional bathroom but good be doing with updating.

What a beautiful and unique holiday accommodation! The location couldn’t have been more perfect; very peaceful with beautiful views of the river and glen and lovely walks from the doorstep. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more lovely view from a holiday let than the one from the dining room window of the River Lyon. We saw herons, red squirrels, deer, and highland cows!

The boiler is old and the radiators in the bedrooms barely got lukewarm, so it was chilly at night. This wouldn’t have been a problem in another season, but was a challenge in December.

Well appointed, with everything you might need. Loved the cosy fireplace and the fun of finding the secret door. Beds were great. Dining room window worn out by too much looking out of it. Great WiFi. Location stunning.

Would have liked a hairdryer possibly, but appreciate may be difficult. Key safe a bit tricky.

The location of the house is amazing. A bit isolated from nearby towns but we actually enjoyed that aspect. It is surrounded by trees and the river below. Another highlight were the Highland cows that showed up around the property every evening. The sound of the waters below were the perfect sound to fall asleep to. Cannot recommend enough.

Make sure you know in advance what the pin for the keybox is and where it is located. There is no signal there.

Self catering, location fantastic! Beautiful views from the property. No mobile signal but wi-fi worked well. Very peaceful with limited traffic noise due to remote location. Liked the log burner. Facilities great.

We had a problem collecting the key from the key box, we couldn't find it. It was inside the property behind a sticky door which we thought was locked. Couldn't ring for help due to no phone signal, found a public phone box down the road. Estate manager rang their property person who came and opened the doors for us, thank you! We should have rung for further instruction earlier had we realised there was no signal in the location.

beautiful view from the dinning table onto the river. the fire place is really nice. the beds are big and comfortable.
