Gatehouse, Bridge of Balgie, Glenlyon

Beautiful Quirky house with good space for a family and a very handy gate to keep our elderly dog safe from the stairs, in a just gorgeous natural setting ,with stunning views, and a couple of Sheepy visitors not far from a few lovely walks.

Although we knew there would be stairs to the property, carrying our elderly dog up and downstairs to have a wee a few times early morning and night was tiring, but obviously necessary.

The river, the view of the window on the river was the best. Nice to be so close to the nature

The peacefulness and view were amazing! It’s a beautiful and unique place to stay.

I loved everything about it but it does take a bit of driving to go somewhere to eat if the post office is closed. We drove to Aberfeldy which was such a great town and it’s about 30 minutes away.

Amazing location. Beautiful building to stay in. Practically nobody around. The views on the river are to die for. Beds are comfy. Everything was clean. TV has Netflix (although needed to search a little how to use it). There is no cell reception, but the Wi-Fi works fine.

Only things for improvement I can come up with are having some better instructions on how to use the TV and some info on the property on which the gate is located. Can you just walk onto it? Nowhere it says that you can't, when you come from the gate. However, if you take a different road, there are "private property, keep out" signs.

Stunning tranquil location with amazing views and sounds of the river. Very comfortable accommodation with excellent off road parking. Had everything we needed with fabulous walks and wildlife (we saw red squirrels!) from the doorstep.

We loved everything from the house to the location. Cannot recommend enough.

The setting is idyllic, stunning views from every window. It is very remote, however there is a lovely little cafe a stones throw away, well worth a visit. The house has lots of charm and everything that you need is there and it is very clean. There are numerous walks that start very near the house. Plenty of wildlife to see…it’s all very beautiful.
