The Beach Suite at The Mactan Newtown

I didn't like the fact that their check in time is 3 pm. Way too long to wait so I have no choice but to pay 500 pesos / hour though I ask for an hour discount. Also when I went there the room infact is already available all they want is for me to pay extra if I wanted to check in early. other than this the place is good, its clean and the host is responsive. BUT ALL IN ALL STILL THE PLACE IS RECOMMENDABLE!!!! perfect place to stay where in you can access anything from grocery, food, restaurant and many more. Very convenient!!!

It was very convenient especially to our family its private, calm and silent really exceeded our expectations and worth the price.

The only thing that I didn’t like was . I brought a visitors at night and I informed the owner . I know theres an extra charge for bringing some visitors but he didn’t wait for me to pay him via online instead he called at the security and I was being told to pay for it urgently. This annoyed me a little because we were at our dinner and not even at the room yet. I just want them to put into place first before I wire the payment. I mean Im not running just for this if only the owner could put some courtesy to wait especially if the renter already been informed about the rules.

I like location. The check in and out its fine for us. The beach my suggestion need more toilet not one location very far from the beach. There should be free drinking water station. The food they offer not satisfied what we paid. Maybe need a vegetables and fruits.

It wasn't the easiest place to find due to it being wrongly named on booking.com it should be building 3 not C as described. The actual area and space of the suite is fine and good. The actual premises are poorly maintained inside, noticeable damage to the infrastructure and fittings, dirty old sofa with stains, bathroom was covered in water upon arrival and has two of the most useless towels I've ever seen, they do not dry you, had to stand myself on the dirty balcony to dry in the heat. The shower does not heat up unless you look under the sink at some machine you need to turn on, was never informed about this, just found it by investigating. The bed is old and uncomfortable and covers were itchy. Description mentions a spa which is not true, there's no spa/sauna included. Says there's a private beach in main listing but then deepdown in amenities it says a fee is needed. There is one tiny old bin in the bathroom and that is it, no other bin to dispose of garbage, didn't use the cooker plate, this was covered in burnt left overs from whoever else stayed there!. The swimming pool is good but again the useless towels were not fit for purpose, I've seen better towels at hotels/apartments that cost half the price. This property clearly needs some TLC, decorating and updating to fit with the actual area it's situated in. The new town is a nice new area of mactan. Sadly this property is not looked after.

I had a disappointing experience during my stay. The towels provided were very thin and did not absorb water properly, which made it difficult to use them effectively. Additionally, there was no bed for my daughter just a mattress placed directly on the floor, which was uncomfortable. Another issue was the lack of hot water, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper shower. I hope these concerns can be addressed for future guests.

It was very good. The unit was clean. It has complete utilities. And kitchen appliances. We also enjoyed the bath tub with heater. There was complimentary coffee and biscuits as well. I just wish there were also slippers and bathrobes but other than that the unit was nice and comfy. Also the host was very responsive. The condo has its own pool but there’s also a beach nearby and a pool with a bar which we also really enjoyed. Overall we had a great time!

Budget friendly Driver who picked us up from the property was really nice, but his transit agency charged five times what Grab charges from the airport to the accommodations. Host was responsive to questions and accommodated early check in for ₽800. Condo staff were very courteous and helpful. Located in a newer part of Mactan Lots of grocery stores a few restaurants in walking distance

Place was fair. There was a funny smell like it hasn’t been opened for a while but the overall cleanliness was good. Amenities like outdoor pool and hot tub were not available for use. Access to the beach is no longer free and each person had to pay ₽350 to use. No laundry room in the building for tenant or guest use.

Location was very good, right in the middle of the action and a short walk to the private beach club.

The bed was comfortable but the base was broken and made it less comfortable.
